The food was good, waitresses are polite and do their best to serve on time due to the ongoing situation almost everywhere. ... They're short on help. Food is still a bit pricy. But so are groceries. Menu's changed. Specials no longer come with drinksincluded and if you have salads or soups they no longer have the good stuff like Melba toast. Sometimes crunchier crackers aremore satisfying to me. My family and I went here for the first time tonight and we absolutely loved it. The chicken fried steak was delicious and so... was the Canadian cheese soup. Can?t beat the price. Our waiter, Rene or Renee was fantastic, honestly one of the best waitersI?ve had in years from anywhere. Very impressed. We will be back since we don?t live all that far away. Normally go to another Jim's but decided to try this location out. Wife's pancake was raw when they brought it to the table. Her... pork chop also was bland with not a whole lot of flavor. Restaurant seemed to be clean and tidy. Staff was pretty friendly, butseemed a little slow to address our issues. Read more

Went to Jim's for lunch with coworkers. We had a young, friendly waitress taking our order. My soup and salad was delicious! The... salad was fresh and came with a sliced boiled egg. The tortilla soup was flavorful with melted cheese and extra tortilla strips.Overall, a very positive experience. Read more
This location is usually better than average, but I was disappointed in today?s visit. The table was visibly dirty when I sat... down. There was no offer or attempt to clean it by the person who seated me or waited on me. I wiped it down myself with anapkin. The ?scrambled eggs? weren?t fully cooked and had the consistency of pudding, just mush. The ketchup bottle had pink,opaque fluid inside the cap as soon as I opened it. So, I wipe it away with a napkin, close the bottle and give it a good shake.It still spits out this big stream of light pink fluid onto my hash browns and the heavy vinegar/spoiled taste ruins them. Thebacon and pancake were the only saving factors of the meal. The waitress wasn?t rude, but she also wasn?t very attentive orpersonable. There was no check in to ask how the meal was or to see if a refill was needed. I absolutely hate getting the billthe same time as the meal. I was planning on having a piece of pie too, but this practice of setting the bill on the table withthe food puts me off of most restaurants. The lady working the register was slow too. The lady in front of me was picking up anorder and while bagging the order, the cashier stops to have a conversation with a customer at the bar. Luckily, another personbehind the counter noticed and came to take care of the growing line. I finished my meal 30 minutes ago and already have anuneasy rumbling in my stomach. This restaurant is the one I miss the most since moving away from SA years ago. I don't feel a visit to the city is complete... without getting a #3 and onion rings. (No lettuce) The original did not have it. Breakfast is great here too. I've heard all theother meals are good too. I would not know since I only order the Frontierburger. Why mess with perfection?
