Good diner experience. Esther was very helpful and attentive. The biscuits and sausage gravy were excellent. I really liked how... crispy the outside of the waffle was yet still soft on the inside. And the strawberry pie was sweet! Coffee wasn't amazing, butit was good diner coffee. Read more

We usually have a nice experience at this location. Must have gotten new cooks. Onion rings were greasy and burger was ok. My... rings and burger have been delicious in the past. Even the salad was so so. My boyfriend asked for a fresh cup of coffee becausehe said the coffee tasted old and you should've seen the look the waitress shot us at the counter. We'll give it one morechance. Read more

Been to this location a handful of times. The food is always great and the service is good. You can't go wrong with a frontier... burger with cheese. The breakfast selection is excellent and the coffee you'll want several cups. I recommend this location ifyou are hungry and in the area. Come hungry and you'll leave with a satisfied tummy! Great food and we always like coming here. If you're from out of town Jim's is our equivalent to "Village Inn" or "Pancake... House"(But better since the only pancake houses I've been to have been kinda run down). Worth the stop if you're in the mood forsome breakfast that won't break the bank. Read more

Jim?s hardly ever disappoints. Seems like no matter what I order, I?m always satisfied. The portions are always a big good size!... It seems as though they run out of Tortilla Soup A LOT A LOT, at random times.. so that would probably be my onlydisappointment. Read more

We've lived in San Antonio for 2 years now and finally worked up the courage to try Jim's. I'm not sure why it took us this... long, we've heard it's essentially a local Texas version of a Denny's, so on a cold rainy morning we gave it a try. I did notknow what I was missing. I had their breakfast special, a jalapeno gravy + sausage + biscuit + over medium eggs combo with aside of hash browns. It was amazing. My youngest kids both got the silver dollar pancakes kid's meal, and it came with a hugeportion pancakes and bacon. My oldest child got the Texas omelet and it was big and stuffed with meats. My wife got breakfasttacos on corn tortillas al a carte. They all raved about their food. I ordered a side of biscuits and butter to try theirpeach preserves and was not disappointed. The most amazing part? All this for $45. Taking my family of 5 out is usuallycostly, but, Jim's made it affordable and delicious. Our server was attentive and no one had to wait for a refill. We will beback!! Excellent country breakfast Read more

Good food, great employees. I love going here for my early morning breakfast. Not too busy around 9am but tends to get busier... especially during lunch or on weekends. Don't have any complaints about Jim's at all. Read more
