Stopped by this lovely evening..had the fried calamari huge pieces but a little skimpy on the quantity..tried the spicy kanikama... roll so delish! The Texas heat roll was the bomb! A light kick but yummy. Tried the heart attack roll was just soso for me. Tried the Kirin Ichiban beer...reminded me of Shiner..had a few not bad at all. Leo was our waiter! Loved him! Craving sushi for lunch, I stumbled across Hugo's. An awesome little sushi joint with a great atmosphere. I ordered the... chicken teriyaki with no veggies. Probably one of the best teriyakis I've had. The sauce was flavorful and the chicken wasjuicy. I tried the Toro Roll for the sushi and it was outstanding. The habanero sauce and jalapenos made it a spicy uniqueexperience. Texas meets Japan. Service was rapid and excellent, I was checked on consistently. I will be back! Read more

Nice Little Place. We were driving by and thought we would try. Sake was delicious. Sushi rolls were flavorful. If you want a... quick bite that is flavorful and not those stuffy chain places around town. This is an enjoyable place to stop in. Willdefinitely go back to try other yummies on the menu. Read more

Pretty great sushi and also provides a partial Korean and Chinese cuisine on the menu. Seemed sort of pricey, but this was... probably one of the best sushi restaurants we've visited in San Antonio. The customer service was pretty good too. Read more

Nothing negative to say except the rice was a bit under cooked in the sushi. The flavors were good but nothing spectacular.... Ramen was standard. The gyoza was pretty good. The place was clean and service was good. The place looks a little throwntogether but not bad overall. Read more

We were looking for a new sushi place to try and came across Hugo's. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming and for... a Friday night pretty slow, which we enjoyed for social distance reasons. The food was incredible. The sushi tasted so fresh andso nicely done. Every sushi we got was unique and delicious and the yellow tail sashimi was absolutely amazing. We loved it andwould definitely love to come again. Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves unique sushi. Read more

Good flavors & great service. We tried a few different sushi rolls. All of them had their own distinct flavor and style. Pink... Lady, Tempura & King without the sriracha sauce. We don?t eat too much spice so we were glad they were accommodating and notoffended by the request. Our server was extremely nice and patient.
