Extremely disappointed that this business has decided to charge customers for using debit/credit cards by adding 4% to non cash... purchases. Credit card fees are a part of doing business, if a business chooses to accept them, and placing advertised cashprices on the menu then adding additional charge for customers who choose not to carry cash has cost them my business. I do notdo business with businesses that charge me for paying in a payment form they choose to accept. If a business I choose to use iscash only, I know I need cash before I decide to patronize that business. I am sorry to no longer have Hometown as an optionfor my family because their food is very good, but I WILL NOT be penalized for my choice of payment. Read more
Came here and it was my first time! Let them know that I saw them on Texas Eats and asked what they recommended. Big Boy... Burger, chili cheese fries, and a shake (chocolate)! It was SOOOO GOOD! Support your local eateries! Read more
Service has gotten worse in the past month the current output of quality food has been poor. Chicken was overcooked and over... salted. The burger was burnt, and very hard to chew. No sweet tea no sweet potato fries after ordering !30! minutes later we getour food and notified they were out of these items. We've been to this establishment everywhere weekend for the last 5 monthsand this has been second time the quality has been poor. Generally you give service a second chance but today wasunsatisfactory. We will have to find another burger place. Read more
Dont get me wrong, the burger was quite tasty. Cooked well, bun toasty perfection, but was mislead into believing I was getting... my hands on a "large" burger combo, and the Big Boy combo my husband got was well, husky at best. Received burgers i could havepassed for small, the very small white fry bags that came with, were not at all full. We also shared a really good chocolateshake, but if your paying $6 for a shake, come on make it look like a $6 cup. I could have pig out elsewhere for $36. Chalk itup to a learning experience. Tried for the first time @ lunch today. To start was given a $1 up charge to a larger combo without being asked. Tried the... fries first, lukewarm, soggy and overly-salty. Then the burger - again barely warm. Unlike the picture on the website showingwhat looks like a generous sized handmade patty, the patty had rounded edges (frozen?) and was significantly smaller than thebun. I got the bacon cheeseburger which had one slice of bacon laid across the burger. At least cut it in half to get a littlecoverage... Then I took two sips of the unsweetened tea I got with the combo before dumping the whole thing. It had sometaste maybe resembling dish soap? So bottom line - not tasty, not warm, not worth it. Spend your burger dollarselsewhere. UPDATE: Raising to 2 stars. Out of sheer convenience, I ate at another location a few days later. Much betterexperience, but the food was still average. I would give that visit 3 stars. So I will give the Roosevelt 2 stars assumingthere where some supply chain issues and that other employees are better representatives of the company. Read more
This was a very bad experience. I ordered mushrooms with Gravy. They were cold and hard like they had been sitting there... forever. The fries were cold. Omg and the burgers. The meat looked like it was there all day and they reheated the meat. Theysupposedly make it fresh. It was not. Then they were out of ice cream. How can you be out of ice cream? Do they need newmanagement to teach how to order their supplies. Very unsatisfactory for a restaurant to put "made fresh" when it clearly isnot. Read more
First of all the customer service was great. The food was hot and made fresh to order. You can?t get sweet potato fries like... this any where on the southside. The burger had a toasted bun which I love. Over all good choice to eat here. Read more
Tried the Frito pie a few weeks ago. Could have been much better. The chili wasn't fresh nor hot, neither was it tasty. The... burgers are good though and I would recommend those and a fresh batch of tator tots. Read more
