The first thing that caught my attention with this place was the customer service. Every single person that worked there was so... nice and friendly and tried to help us even though it was not their table. We came in with a party of 7 and they right awayhelped us with making seat arrangements. Our waitress was Camile, and she was the sweetest. She took our order and hustled toget our food out and anything else that we needed. As far as the food goes, it was pretty good. The chicken came out hot andfresh. The crispy crust had a good, spicy flavor to it. I also was able to taste the chicken tenders, beans, coleslaw, Mac ncheese, potato salad, and even the frys. All of which did not disappoint. I do recommend trying the tenders with the honey theyserve to you. The flavors went really well together. Overall, it was a really great experience. However, it was a little bitpricey. I still will definitely be going back again! Read more

Streets surrounding restaurant were quite so expectations were not high until we walked through the door and observed a full... restaurant. Place was well maintained and clean. Got a table after a small wait and ordered both pieces of chicken and tenders.Server was excellent. The chicken pieces were moist and skin crunchy with a slight spiciness. The tenders on the other hand werelarge and tough. Only ate one tender due to toughness. Our server understood our tender issue and substituted pieces. The Coleslaw was tasty but used too much mayo. The beans were very good. Enjoyed our time at Gus' and will be back. Read more

I'm telling you,, there's just something deliciously different about this fried chicken! It is tied right now with only one... other place as the best fried chicken I've ever tasted. It's always hot, fresh and extremely crispy when ordered. The subtle, ornot so subtle spiciness on their breading is just right! The only reason I cant give 5 stars is because the sides just aren'tanything special, which is a shame given how outstanding the chicken is. The mac n cheese was about as ordinary and bland as macn cheese can be, and the coleslaw was a bit too sweet for me, and again, nothing special. I did order some fries and hafta saythey extremely fresh and crispy, but were under seasoned. Will definitely be back for the chicken! ???????? Read more

First time coming here and we'll definitely keep coming back. The chicken was not greasy and it was very juicy. The crust has... the right amount of spice and crunch. Daniel, our server, was great. He gave us a quick run down of the menu and led us to theperfect lunch. We'll definitely be back. Great job to all the staff for a clean, comfortable, and delicious place to enjoy, second to none, fried chicken! Read more

Service - 10/10, our waitress had a sense of humor, was attentive, kind, and more than competent. Ambience - average, enjoyable... but not stellar. Food: Chicken = above average fried chicken, like a 7.3/10. It was good fried chicken, don't get me wrong. But,world famous? The best? No, that's not it. I would go again with friends to get some good fried chicken. The crispy skin on thechicken was the best part, obviously. But there was nothing extraordinary about the chicken. Sides = beans and potato salad wereaverage. Appetizer = Fried Green Tomatoes were pretty good with the sauce! Desert = pecan pie was pretty good, 8/10! Overall -would recommend to people who want a well rounded fried chicken meal. I would go again if I'm in town and was craving some friedchicken and pecan pie. Read more

You will eat the chicken fresh from the fryer. You'll tell yourself to stop and wait until it's cooled off, but you won't. It's... so good. Even the breast is juicy and flavorful throughout. The fried part is light and crispy. They cook your chicken fresh, soprepare to wait a few mins. Beans and slaw are pretty basic. The mac looked pretty good. Heads up tho- chicken has a goodspiciness to it but so do the kids tenders. I'd your kid doesn't like spicy, I'd go with the grilled cheese. Service was great.Very glad I don't live anywhere close to this place cuz I'd be there pretty often. Does get busy, so be prepared. Read more

Have been hearing a lot about Gus's since it opened, but wanted to avoid the initial crowds. Stopped by for dinner during the... week and was about 75% full, so there was enough tables to choose from. There's about 25 tables spread out nicely. Started offordering the fried okra and fried pickles. For the meal, ordered the 3 piece dark. Appetizers came out first after about 10minutes and were hot and crispy. I preferred the okra over the pickles, but both were good. The pickle flavor was more drownedout by the fried batter. The chicken came out shortly after the appetizers and was fresh out the fryer. The chicken pieceswere large and very crispy. There was a decent amount of spice with each bite, but it wasn't overwhelming. While the outsidewas very crispy, the inside was very juicy. Ordered sides of baked beans and collard greens. They were good, but the chickenwas more unique. Closed out the meal with some Old-fashion coconut pie since it's not found at most restaurants. This wasright up there with the chicken as it had big flakes of toasted coconut in every bite. It was sweet, but not overly sweet andthe portion size was just right. Read more
