Wow!!!! This place is PHENOMENAL! At first, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you get in, it has the look and... feel of a great Mexican restaurant. We ordered the Papa Bowl and the Texas Burrito and both were good portions, especially thePapa Bowl. It's listed as an appetizer, but it can easily be a full meal for 2-3 people. Our server Cecilia was absolutelywonderful and very accommodating. Although we're from Austin, we're definitely planning on coming back. We can't wait to tryout their other dishes! Read more
The food is great! The service? It's more than great. My parents have eaten at Papa Nacho's at least once sometimes twice a... week for years and the staff have become like family to them. Recently, my mother was placed in a home due to Alzheimer's andthe staff was heartbroken along with my dad. Yesterday, my dad went in to eat lunch by himself on Father's Day and the staffnot only embraced him but they also "comped" his meal. Wow, how does service get better than that? In for an early lunch about 11 AM. Surprisingly colorful and nice decor inside. Menu also was not your typical Mexican... restaurant fare. Ordered the spinach salad. Metal utensils, ceramic plates, and cloth napkins. Salsa and chips were good. Ilike salsa that is not so hot you can?t taste anything when your meal arrives. Very quiet inside with Spanish music playing ata low level. I was seated immediately. My drink and entree orders were taken quickly. Waiter seemed a little bored and nottoo happy to be there. My entree arrived quickly and was very good! Grilled chicken on top of spinach with grapes, walnuts,honeydew melon and cantaloupe with a nice citrus dressing that was sublime and not overwhelming.
