Great service and wonderful variety menu. The good is awesome!
I like it better than Best Quality Daughter. Plenty of lunch specials for around $10, dishes made to order and fresh, attentive... service even when busy, and they're willing to customize heat levels and some other options. Full bar and vast menu, includingdecent sushi and sashimi. Mixed crowd of folks who live nearby, professionals, and folks getting a slightly more upscale Chinesemeal. This place has been crowded for decades for a reason and they still do a good job of turning tables and producing goodfood. We love it for a quick lunch or one of those days when our team needs a couple cocktails before heading back into thefray. Read more
The food and service is pretty great! Our server was incredibly kind and the food was made quite quickly. I’d say that it... isn’t as tasty as other restaurants that I’ve been to, but it’s still solid for how much you pay. Only spent about $14 perperson and the amount of food we received was great! Wonderful Asian restaurant! One of the best in town! If you are into sushi, their Formosa roll is incredible. There were 4... of us in our party last night and service was fantastic. We had Mu Shu Pork, Sichuan Beef, Teriyaki Chicken and Sesame Chicken. Each and every one was absolutely amazing. My first time visiting Formosa Garden and I was very pleased. Their lunch menu includes tea and was available on Saturdays. I... would like to try the fried rice during dinner hours instead of the lunch time, perhaps it taste more like traditional friedrice. I did however love my cashew shrimp and the wonton soup. This place is all about quality. There is no MSG in the food. The taste and texture of the food is amazing. I am 22 and honestly... have never had better food than this for Chinese food my whole life. Every single bite was flavorful. IF YOURE WONDERING IF YOUSHOULD COME, you should!!!! Formosa is one of those places where you would go for inexpensive Chinese food and/or sushi, although I’ve never had the... sushi. The wait staff is consistently accommodating and professional, but don’t expect the warmth and welcome of anestablishment that charges more. Compliments go to the food, which is also consistent. Always hot and tasty, especially if youlike the various sauces on the heavy side (I do). I just can’t give Formosa 5 stars. Despite the adequate service and goodfood, the place always seems a little dingy. The carpet definitely needs replacement. Overall, a decent place to visit if notwanting to spend more than about $15 per person. Read more
Formosa Garden has a great selection of classic Chinese dishes. My family’s favorite is the sesame chicken. The food is fresh... and delicious. Service is generally great, but they do tend to get busy at times - expect delays. Read more
