Oh my word, these are the best empanadas in town. I saw a review that said they bumped their prices a little bit a $4.50 an... empanada they are a steal. They are stuffed full of meat. So delicious we will be coming back every time we are in San Antonioto visit my parents. Spicy Beef was amazing. Was it spicy? Yes. However didn?t just burn? it had wonderful flavor that made youwant to eat and eat and eat. Sweet or savory these are a treat. Read more

Delicious! Got the beef with potatoes and chorizo with eggs. I enjoyed the Beef with potatoes more, but they both tasted good.... Nice, friendly staff. Read more

Stopped by for an early lunch on Saturday. It was early, so there wasn't anyone else there, but 4 other parties arrived shortly... after. Was immediately greeted upon walking in and the young man working the register was very helpful. The owner was also inthe front area and she was very friendly and nice. All of the empanadas sounded good, but ordered the spicy beef, beef &potatoes, chorizo & eggs, rajas con queso for the savory ones. Ordered the pineapple, apple, and guava with cream cheese forthe sweet ones. Had a seat and everything came out in about 10 minutes. Each savory empanada is stamped with the 2 digit code. Compare it to your receipt and you'll easily know which ones are which. Empanadas were amazing. My favorite part was how thinthe dough or crust was. It was just enough to hold it together without so much dough. Each was perfectly cooked to leave anice crispy crunch on the outside, but full of goodness on the inside. They were generously stuffed and very filling. Myfavorite was the spicy beef, but they were all good. The rajas con queso was a lot of cheese, but was still good. Be sure touse the chimichurri sauce as they perfectly complement the empanadas. The sweet empanadas were just as good. They're smallerthan the savory ones, but filled with fruit goodness. If you enjoyed everything, you can also order some non-cooked empanadasto go so you can cook on your own. Same with chimichurri sauce, you can order a bottle to take home. Will definitely be backfor more empanadas. Read more

My favorite empanadas were the peporni and ham &cheese. I normally do not like chimichurri, but I loved both versions they had,... especially the spicy one. I really like you can buy them frozen so they can come out fresh at home. Read more

Awesome spot for a different kind of empanada. The building itself is unassuming at the corner of a one way road making parking... and exiting easier than you'd think. The dining room isn't super large, it'd be filled to capacity at around 20 folks. Wearrived at 11:20am and by the time we left at 12:15 every table was occupied. The empanadas were amazing. Stamped with FatTummy on the sealed edges, I ended up getting the spicy beef and chorizo/egg empanadas with a pineapple empanada for dessert. Iasked for no bell peppers or onions on the spicy beef, but it's all ground together so there is no separation. Didn't matter, the flavors were awesome. The argentinian chorizo was a different flavor than normal Mexican chorizo, and tasted closer toItalian sausage. The dough was light but hearty. Overall incredible flavors and very filling. A friend enjoyed her spinachand cheese empanadas, which she said balanced well with the spicy beef. The dessert empanada, while smaller, was alsoexcellent. The pineapple filling wasn't overly sweet and sugary like a normal American dessert, but flavorful and rich. If Ihad any room left I'd have tried them all. Highly recommend. Read more
