You know for some reason I remember double Dave's being such a great pizza place! I completely understand that since covid and... all the other changes that have been going on throughout all kinds of businesses, have made a lot of things also change in everyother city for restaurants. Well me and my son were at the HEB right down the street from this particular location, and wethought I would take him to try his first double Dave's pizza! As we went in there was only one car that was parked in the frontof the entrance door, while we walked in we waited almost 15 minutes just for someone to come out from the back a young lady whotold us she'd be right with us. After waiting another gentleman came from the back and took our order without any suggestions atall or any greeting to be honest. Now the lady that was behind me was the lady from the car in the parking lot and all she waswaiting for was her order which was to be picked up in store! So in other words if I waited 15 minutes to get served and we hadto decide for ourselves but we were going to get, she waited 20 minutes just to get her Pizza that was already ready! Howeverlet's flip the coin, my son and I enjoyed the pizza that we ordered it came out exactly the way we wanted it we even cleaned upthe table on our way out! So unfortunately like a lot of other restaurants and stores and different businesses that havesuffered a huge loss not only customer service but employees, just be prepared to possibly wait and possibly not be greeted. I order a "meat lover" pizza and pamesan wings. Didn't get the wings but some "nuggets" type of chicken. Not a big deal. The... pizza was just ok, nothing special. Really similar to Domino's. Only bigger and way too expensive. Read more

Order double Dave's pepperoni rolls and specifically ask for marinara sauce. When I get home after driving in traffic what do I... find.....? Ranch!!!!? It's not like you can easily drive back over there on this side of town so I am very frustrated. And mykids were disappointed. I ordered a deep dish pizza tonight and received what appeared to be a regular crust pizza with portions of the crust... undercooked (gooey). When I called the store, I was informed by a "manager" that because I used GrubHub for delivery, my pizzacould be re-made but I would have to drive to pick it up. My issue is not the overwhelming noise of the call itself, withemployees carrying on in the background, but the fact that it appears that the use of a 3rd party delivery app, somehow absolvesthe pizza maker and its employees from making a good pie. The run around of, going to GrubHub (who's only responsible fordelivering [your] pizza) in order to address a quality issue-- seems a bit far from the origins of good customer service, to me.But what do I know, when I saw this location open I thought of the countless pies I hated ordering from PJ's and Dom's... but Iwill go back. My family loved the pizza, but was really disappointed that they're not doing the buffet anymore. That was the whole reason we... went there, and had been going to DD's since my college days in Corpus Christi. It was great because it enabled us to give thekids options. Probably won't go back now. Disappointed on this order. Ordered Italian Sliced Meatball sub. Took one bite, Barely had meat on it, no cheese, this was a... delivery order. Called the store and was told I could receive a credit. First time eating Double Dave’s pizza and it pretty good. I’m glad to have another pizza selection in the neighborhood and... Double Dave’s does not disappoint. The ingredients are fresh and the dough has a great flavor, will definitely add this to ourrestaurant rotation. Read more
