My son and I love Denny's but don't go very often. We decided to go for breakfast as a treat and, boy, was it. All thanks to our... waitress, Claire. We've been to many restaurants, and Denny's restaurants, and this has been the most fun we've had. Ourwaitress was a genuine and kind person dedicated to making everything enjoyable. She kept the coffee fresh and coming (evenoffered a to-go coffee) and stopped to chat with us very often. She made sure everything was satisfactory and fresh. After weleft, my son called her 'a breath of fresh air' and he pointed out that he could tell she was 'nice for the sake of being niceand not because she wanted something from us'. Out of the mouth of babes. He was absolutely right. She was just a very nice ladywho loves people and is proud of the work she does. She IS a breath of fresh air. We thanked her for being so genuine andhospitable and she said we were a blessing to meet. Seriously?! People are not as kind as her and we are going to make it apoint to come out for more pancake dates in the future. Please note that all the staff was polite, the place was clean, the foodwas made fresh [but it is comfort food so don't expect healthy], and we were seated/fed quickly yet not rushed out. Love this Denny's. Staff is friendly and very attentive. I get a genuine diner feel to the place. This is exceptional for a... chain diner. I want to shout out in particular to a waitress, Claire Lutz. She is in the Top Three for waitresses I haveknown, possibly number 1. You will feel like your own mom or auntie has been tending to you. We had the Eggs Benedict Benny's with hash browns. We also each had the order of 2 pancakes on the side. I have to say Denny's... pancakes are so light and fluffy and delicious. To me they beat out IHOP by a mile! Our waiter Robert gave excellent service. Read more
Meal was great, but the best attraction was our waitress, Claire. I have been eating out since the 70's and she was one of the... best waitresses I have ever had the pleasure to have at a restaurant. Food was not extraordinary, but was good; however, ourmeal was exceptional because of this special lady's customer service??. Thank you again, Claire, for making our day even morespecial???? The parking lot was empty when we stopped by; we weren?t sure if the place was even open (not even vehicles you might attribute... to employees). We got seated immediately. The staff wasn?t outstanding, but not bad either. The restaurant was not clean (see mypicture). We ordered meatless burgers (which is why we chose Denney?s) and they were? okay. We ordered the grand slam pack it only came with 4 pancakes instead of 8, 3 utensils, 2 syrups, and no butter. We are from Laredo Tx and stopped here on our way home. We received awesome service from our waiter Eric! He was the only... waiter on the floor and he did an excellent job! Had not experienced this kind of service since before Covid-19. Thank you Ericfor making our dinner an amazing, enjoyable experience. Totally a five star service!! Read more
