We frequent Cracker Barrel often and we have noticed that the quality has gone down. However today will be the last time I come... to Crackle Barrel. We were seated at a dirty table, the chairs were full of crumbs, there was food on the floor, and we had towipe it down with the two napkins that were left at the table. We had made a order of the old timers meal. When the biscuits hadarrived they were so roughly placed on the table that my water and coffee moved. The gravy that came with it was also cold. Ihad asked for the eggs to be cooked at a medium well level had received barely cooked eggs, that I did not eat. Our waitressnever came to check on us. So we had to ask two different waitresses for hot sauce and napkins. The food was lacking in flavorand looked very unappetizing. It is very unfortunate that the place that we used to go to as a family, that felt so homely andwelcoming, has become unwelcoming and cold. Read more

This location has redeemed itself. It's usually a hit and miss here. But this time our waitress was very attentive, timely and... patient. (Coming from a particular type customer's standpoint (I ask for extras). The food was extremely fresh, well presented,and delicious. The only reason for the lacking star is the cleanliness needs a little more attention as far as the kitchen odorupon entry into the dining area and a light film of grease on the tables / items on the tables. Took my sister there for her bday today. Her choice..not mine. Ordered the roast beef. Menu says ?cooked 18 hours?. Supposed... to be tender. Ha! Fatty and gristly. Tried to eat it. Got one bite down but it was truly repulsive. My husband and I likeCracker Barrel on North side but we have been to this particular Cracker Barrel twice before and it was always horrible. When I was... being escorted in to the dining area, I noticed the 2-top just inside the entrance was empty and asked to be seated there. Iwas told it was not available. I was led to a 4-top in the middle of the dining area. Noticed a table by the window wasavailable and asked to be seated there. Was told that table was also unavailable. As soon as I sat down at my "assigned"table, a couple was seated at the table I had just been told was unavailable. I looked back at the first table I was told wasunavailable and saw someone was seated at that table as well. Asked for a manager, who eventually showed up and told me nowindow side tables were available. Left the restaurant and asked for the store manager, who turned out to be a rather large,old, balding wyte male named "Scott". Told him about not being seated st certain tables due to the alleged 'unavailability". Heresponded by stating servers may not have been available for those tables and that would have "negatively impacted my diningexperience". He got mad when I asked him if that were the case, why were people seated at those tables almost immediately afterI was told they were unavailable. He then stated that me not being seated where I wanted was MY problem. Seriously? Amediocre casual eatery has assigned seating and lies to customers in order to enforce THEIR assigned seating? The U.S. used tohave "assigned seating" in restaurants. It also used to have assigned seating on busses, assigned water fountains, assignedswimming pools, assigned jobs and housing, even assigned schools. THE FOOD PORTION WAS LIKE A BABY MEAL. Worst experience I ever had and I love eating at Cracker Barrel. The hostess never... smiled or seemed like she didn't want to be there. Then our waiter took our order but someone else gave us our food and thewaiter NEVER came to check on us and we wanted drink refill and needed more napkins AND we had to look for him to get our check.But the cashier was amazing. Good food, came a little later in the evening and the waiter sat us right next to the kitchen. I very much dislike sitting near... restaurant kitchens so we asked to be seated at another table. I was told we couldn?t have another table because of staff. I amaware that usually staff have sections they are over but it was hard to believe that two or three tables over would make itimpossible to serve us. Came in today after ordering drinks our drinks took a long wait for our drinks to come. I ordered the sirloin medium and it was... well done. I sat eating sides only while I waited for my refire on the steak. My son ordered hamburger steak with gravy andgrilled onions, after they bought his food we were informed they were out of grilled onions yet when the bill came we werecharged for the add on that was incomplete. The manager did correct the issue but only after I questioned. I think this will bemy last time at this location. UPDATE: Add insult to injury I emailed per owner request for more information and gave allinformation more detailed and I was not called even tho they asked for my number they gifted me a free desert. It was a waste ofmy time and energy for what it seems a company that doesn't truly care about their customers. Update: 5/21/22 took over 10minutes to get my drinks ordered and over 25 minutes to get our food. They weren't very busy when I was seated.
