Front and back patios create most of the nice atmosphere, inside is small and quaint. Fun house turned into coffee shop. French Press was a disaster - so weak it tasted like tea. Drip coffee was better. French... omelette with bacon was too salty. Nutella crepe was fantastic. CommonWealth Coffeehouse has changed quite a bit since I was there last. Now serving alcohol and more meal-like dishes. The... interior is a little cramped so if you like some room I would recommend sitting outside. But overall the pastries weredelicious, the food was good, and the hot drinks were lovely. We sat down around 9am and it was not busy which was nice. Beautiful interior and exterior seating areas. There were many dogs... there that were friendly and not barking. For the food, today the quiche was a bit overcooked but flavor was there. The tacosand crepe were good. But the best was the Danish and bread. Must try the baked goods. That's where it's at! A decent cup of coffee and an upscale atmosphere that feels approachable and won't break your bank. The pastries are to die for... and the breakfast menu is well designed. They have a dogy park in the backyard and lots of table space for people to get workdone, read a book, or just visit with friends. I?m going about town trying decaf lattes, so I decided to try this Commonwealth location after not coming since pre-pandemic... times. First, it?s a very cute little shop. The ambiance is nice for reading or studying or having a chat with a friend. Thedecaf latte tasted okay, similar to Merit but not as flavorful. It was barely warm, though, which meant half of my latte had tobe sipped on cold. I ordered a chocolate croissant and had a seat at the couch. The table and couch were dirty. I waited 20minutes for my croissant and realized they forgot about me. There is a server walking in front of me every 20 seconds. I?m inclear view of the cashier and everyone working here. I had to go up and inquire about my food. They said sorry and quicklyhanded me a cold croissant. So now I have a cold croissant to go with my cold latte. It?s a shame because the place is reallycute, and the people seem nice, but the service is severely lacking. I had a much better experience at Merit, which is alsosuper busy.
