This place is amazing and the team is even more-so! Food is high quality, delicious, and super fresh!! Be sure to make a... reservation on Yelp at least like 2-3 hours early just to be sure! You'll have the easiest time that way cause parking can alsobe a pain. There's a little cafe right there too called Olla Express where we waited but Comfort Cafe also has great coffee! Read more

Really neat place and yummy food! Good portion sizes and patio is dog friendly. It is a ?pay what you can? but the recommend... $15-$20 per entree so it can go back to their rehabilitation program to recover from addiction. Awesome concept and deliciousfood would definitely go back! Read more

Not only is the food amazing, proceeds go to charity. The food was some of the best I've had. The fruit in my stuffed french... toast was fresh with a delicious, not too sweet, cream filling. As for prices, they let you pay what you think it'sworth...remember it's for charity. Join the wait list on Yelp, because the wait can get very long...it's totally worth a 2 hourwait. Read more

I have been wanting to try Comfort Cafe for at least 2 years but the stars never aligned until today. It was so worth the wait.... We got in line on Yelp, arrived in time to enjoy chai tea and Vietnamese iced coffee over a serious game of Yahtzee! I won???? When we got to our table, Blake was our server. We were blessed with the best. His story moved me to tears. The team's determination, serenity, and grace filled the restaurant The food was absolutely amazing. Hopefully these pics will do theflavor justice. We cannot wait to return. Read more

Our family went here for lunch (some of us got a late breakfast which they serve all day), the food is amazing!! Highly... recommend this place! No prices on the menu, you "pay what you can" as the proceeds go back to their charity. They kindlysuggest a donation of $15 per entree, and the food is totally worth it. Very generous portions. We will be back! Read more

This was a unique, but interesting, experience. There are no prices here. They recommend around $15 per plate, but there are no... hard rules. This is a nonprofit that supports a rehabilitation center, so what you pay directly supports the center. However, the food is simply fantastic. This stuff stands on its own, even without the added knowledge of what you're supporting. Theflavors were amazing, and the portions were MUCH larger than anything you'd get at a restaurant chain. And it's nestled in themiddle of Salado park, with its trails and wonderful scenery. I honestly can't recommend this place enough. Read more

Happy New Years. We woke up and wanted to get a great breakfast to start the New Years. We decided to give this place a try.... This is one of the best kept secrets in San Antonio. They are a non profit that accepts donations so when you don?t see noprices on the menu don?t be alarmed. The staff here is exceptional especially Blake. This restaurant is built on help people andthey are some of the best cooks you?ll ever find in any fine dinning restaurant. Remember this when your ordering a meal it?sbig enough to feed at least 2-3 individuals. It was a great experience and fabulous environment. If your looking for a place toeat with some great food. This is the place to go. Read more
