Ever crave a burger randomly when you just want a hardy juicy big burger? Chester's serves that burger. They fat, wide, and... really very good. This isn't a fancy place and you won't find any tourists. This is a San Antonio staple that attracts as manylunch break patrons as it does family burger night folks. This place is okay. definitely did not live up to the sign of ?best burgers in town and state?. Grateful for the food of course... but first I have to say the tea was definitely not sweet like it should. The fries were fresh but very bland not a drop of salt.Considering we were eating in and came up right when I name was called we would expect the food to be hot but it came out kindof cool. Haven't been here in a few years but this trip was uneventful and I enjoyed my bacon cheese burger. Restaurant is comfortable... and clean. Staff was friendly and curtious. You could have a beer with your lunch from a pretty good selection. They have a verygood score from the health department. Read more

This burger is ginormous!!!! The small burger is 1/3 lb patty and is so big! Bun has to be 6 inches. Fries are fresh cut,... taste amazing. Onion rings crisp and delicious. I got strawberry shake, it's real! Real ice cream, doesn't taste fake. Cheaper than Carl's Jr or McDonald's, and 10 times better food. Read more

Decided to stop by and give this place a try and boy am I glad that we did. Customer service is great, the place has a bar... atmosphere without all the stuff associated with a bar. Got a regular bacon cheeseburger to go and it did not disappoint. Myburger was juicy and meaty, the poppy seed bun was nice and soft, it was sooooo good yo. This evening 1/5/22 was definitely different. I've loved this place for years. But management and staff have changed. All the... employees were smiling, cleaning up and constantly greeting customers. It seemed friendly and more inviting. Never had an issuebefore. But sometimes we get use to something and don't realize there is room for change until you see better.
