I understand that it was a Tuesday afternoon but we purchased a baby rib plate and they tasted very old and dry. I ordered... potato salad but it looked like mashed potatoes. They claimed that the green beans were fresh so I ordered green beans but theywere like mush. My wife bought a big baked potato and it was hard as a rock like it was very old. I wanted to give it four (4) stars (changed to 4 after I finished), but I remembered that my brisket loaded potato didn't come... with sour cream and it had a few extra charred pieces of brisket in it. Otherwise, the flavor was good and the portion wasplenty. Great job on the flavors. I like this place as a lunch spot particularly after coming from seeing the doctor. It picksme up (most likely attributed to the man behind the counter - he's always friendly, courteous and enthusiastic about servingpeople). Some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time. I've seen this place for the past few years and always said I was going to try it... out. I finally did. We had lean brisket. This place is awesome. My daughter and I asked them to cut the sandwich in half so we could share it. So yummy delicious. We... asked for extra crispy fries and they were the bomb! If you?re ever in San Antonio go to The Brickyard. The bbq sauce is reallygood too.my brother-in-law had the sausage sandwich. The staff were really helpful and nice. It was a great experience. Brickyard BBQ was a great lunch destination for us - I?ve been in town visiting, and in the land of great BBQ - Brickyard BBQ... raised the bar for me even further. I had a brisket plate with cream corn and fries. The food was incredibly delicious. The BBQsauce they had out on the table was also perfect to complement the brisket.
