Sports bar with pretty decent food. I had the Bourbon BBQ Burger with a house salad, and enjoyed it quite a bit. My date had the... That's My Jam Burger with tots. The tots were a little pale and squishy. Drinks were good if a little pricey, but the tableservice was excellent. Unfortunately, one of our menus had a big blob of food stuck to it, and the restrooms flooded so badlythat we never saw them open up again that night. It was so bad that the water leaked out into the main floor. Staff kept at itwith the squeegee, but they could never keep it dry. Went this weekend to celebrate my daughter?s birthday and received the absolute worst service. Waitress took about 20 minutes to... even realize she had customers. Food was cold and not mention that our drinks came after the meal. They literally had onebartender and one waitress. Sad and disappointing all together. Never again. Read more
The Shops at La Cantera have some nice dining options, though many of them are overpriced and overrated. Bar Louie is... comparatively reasonably priced. Their food selections are quite limited and it is mostly typical American faire, but quitetasty. We ordered some boneless wings with their signature dry rub. We all agreed that they were very tasty. So much so that weordered more, but they had run out. I ordered their basic burger. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked, but it was cookedperfectly - pink inside and seared outside. I ordered the tater tots as a side, and my wife and stepdaughter, who had never hadthem before, loved them. My wife and my stepdaughter shared an order of the beer-battered fish and chips and really enjoyedit. The service was less than spectacular, but there appeared to be a single waitress waiting all the tables, at least 25people, while the bartender tended to a handful of folk and stood around chatting with the customer, while the poor waitress ranherself ragged. They closed the one at home in Ft Worth. So glad this one is still open! This is by far the best hot honey chicken sandwich on... the planet! And the best lemon drop martini! Great atmosphere. Can't wait for next time! Read more
Came for a group gathering after work. Our waitress seemed a little off though confirmed our drink orders, we came around 4:30pm... on a Friday. The setting was quiet and maybe 2 people at the bar. I asked for a beer once I got there but my coworker got hisbeer after she asked him and got his before me. I then waited then reminded her again, even ordered a Havana Mojito but she saidthey were out of limes so I went for an Old Fashioned, which I had to REMIND her about again, I actually hesitated on leaving20% tip considering I paid for me and another friend of mine.
