Reviews for Azro Authentic Afghan Cuisine in San Antonio, TX
I happened upon this restaurant accidentally. I was planning on going for sushi but parked in front of Azro and decided to try.... I have not had Afghanistan cooking before so why not give it a try. The inside is nicely decorated and very inviting. Thegentleman at the counter greeted me as soon as I walked in, and as there were no other customers at the time, I choose myseating. The menu is not overwhelming, with appetizers, entrees, vegetarian options, and a kids menu. I started with a pot ofmint tea, which was delicious and refreshing. As I was undecided between lamb and kebabs, the combination platter was suggested. This was served with a green salad and the dressing is one I have never tasted, and was quite delicious. My entree was betterthan expected. The meats were seasoned perfectly and the rice beyond words delicious. I will be back to try a few moredishes. So if you are in the area, skip the sushi and stop by and have a meal. You will not be disappointed. I sure was not. Read more
The worst business owner I have met ever. When I entered the restaurant without welcoming or saying hi he was standing right in... front of me one hand in his pocket and pointing me the tables to sit. Very rude person. I felt as I was insulted. I was comingfrom work and my outfit wasn?t that much clean may be that?s why he behaved like that to me. I never recommend this place. Theprevious owner older guy probably new one?s father was much politer and nicer. Read more
