This is my favorite restaurant! I've been a regular more than 8 years. The restaurant has grown in size and received nice style... updates. In my visits, the quality of food, service, and customer satisfaction has met or exceeded my expectations. Ifsomething is not right, they will fix it. I love the "Al Carbon" salad and chips. Ask for the green salsa if you want spicy.Homemade flour and corn tortillas make the tacos delicious. If this was the story of Goldilocks and the three bears, this placewould be "just right," do yourself the favor of trying it out. Read more

Some of the best Tex-Mex food I have had in awhile. Love the homemade corn tortillas. Staff was very friendly, makes me want to... keep going back. I would recommend this place to anyone. Read more

Ok first time visit I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and a Barbacoa taco. The Barbacoa tacos was small for the 399 price it wasn't... even like Angus beef I been to other restaurants where the price was less and had as much meat or more. The Ranchero sauce wasbland and no ump to it. My potatoes were lukewarm and had onions, which I didn't know came with it I should have the option toadd onions if I wanted, my refried beans were good All this said probably won't keep me away Read more

Always a solid spot for some great tasting mexican with the authenticity you expect from a small hole in the wall taqueria with... the excellent service, speed and drive thru of larger food chains. Ay Chiwawa is the fast casual experience San Antonio shouldhave more of. A friendly staff, cool bar and fast service, compliment the great prices and delicious food! Read more

Today was my 1st visit and I must say the menudo and Carne guisada was great.... BUT they gave me bell pepper amd onions and not... cilantro and onions, no lime to squeeze into my menudo, no plasticware utensil to eat it with; luckily I had one in my car, nohot sauce red/green, and instead of a flour tortilla they gave me corn. And if you want a small size of menudo well check out mypicture that's what your gonna get at $4.99. I never knew it was going to be that small. Like wth!!??????????? Never again Read more

Came here for the first time June 4th and we will never return. The food was gross and service was very bad. We had the Beef... Fajitas and the meat was way over cooked and dried out. It was obvious cooked hours before we ordered and kept barely warmbefore they served it to us. They should cook fresh when ordered, not cook ahead early in the day for what they expect to servethat night. The rest of the food was bland, dry and flavorless. The food was barely warm when served. We had to repeatedly askfor more chips and salsa. We also had to ask for more tortillas for our Fajitas and by the time we got more the Fajitas wereeven colder. The waitress was too busy hanging out at the front desk talking with coworkers. I had to walk up there to ask againfor tortillas, chips and salsa. Read more
