Five stars for our waitress and manager on being attentive and making sure we were good given that our Mac & Cheese appetizer... came out very undercooked. After my second bite of one I realized I was eating cold cheese. Our waitress was on top of it andmanaged to get another order out in less than five minutes. We both ordered boneless wings. I do have to say the Honey Bourbonsauce is absolutely delicious! Another thing I was quite impressed with is that they actually do have Yuengling Lager here. Read more
This review is based on our delivery experience with Anchor Bar. We have ordered delivery twice and each time have had issues.... First time we got bone in wings when we ordered boneless and they blamed it on an app issue with how it is sent to theirrestaurant. This time they may have gotten the order right but they burnt/overcooked my tenders so much they are not edible. Ihad to split someone else?s meal. I suggest if you choose to eat here only do so on site as we have had pleasant experienceswhen eating there (hence not just 1 or 2 stars). They have about lost me as a customer. The good: they know how to cook a chicken wing. Perfectly cooked, falls off the bone. Sauce is good. The wings are as good as... the original location in Buffalo New York. Get the tater tots. I also got a couple bonus wings in my order. I love errors in myfavor! The bad: the people working here couldn?t give to sense if you were there or not. Sadly, that is happeningeverywhere. Horrible customer service experience. I'm from out of town and a friend brought us here (she had never been either she lives in... San Antonio) We told waitress pizza was burnt and she replied "that's how it's supposed to be" that its supposed to be"charred". That is an unacceptable response!!. I am a food blogger so this was by far one of the worst experiences here. Wealso felt they were being racist towards my bf. We had a white waitress and black male server. Wings were tasty! A bit pricey, due to the "chicken shortage" surcharge. Would've liked to feel a bit more heat on my medium... buffalo wings. I guess I should've gone with hot! Read more
We had a family date night and decided to come here. My daughter had been here for lunch and said that the wings were great and... they were! We had the lemon pepper rubbed and the were really good????the fried mac n cheese bites were mouth watering ????.They have an outstanding fenced playground for kids with turf grass. Maybe bc it?s a chain, and the original is in NY, but I wasn?t impressed by the food and service. Went during lunchtime, wasn?t... busy at all, but I was in a group of 7 people. Our server and trainee were good, they knew all the foods and drafts, but thatwas about it. Drinks were served quick, but the food took way too long (almost 50min) that the server had to come by twicesaying the food should be out soon (it wasn?t). And when they did come out, everyone?s wings and fries were just warm intemperature. My two friends? burgers were hot (definitely the last ones cooked), but all the rest of our foods were not. Theflavors were just ok. I ordered the spicy garlic parm wings, it?s just buffalo sauce with minced garlic and maybe some Parmesan(I couldn?t see or taste it), just not what I expected. Their mac and cheese didn?t have seasoning (I had to put some salt andpepper), while their crispy Brussel sprouts tasted good, but bc it was sitting in sauce for a while it wasn?t crispy when Ireceived it. And the carrots they gave us were a bit on the old side, two of mine were soft when I bit into it, and the thirdpiece was like a baby carrot. And if you wanted celery, you had to ask. Read more
