Oh boy, our waiter Gilbert made our evening extra special. We were a party of 11, he had great suggestions for us and paced our... experience expertly. My food was beautifully decorated and delicious, and the right amount to stuff me up. Read more

Was visiting San Antonio, Texas and happened upon Acenar. Everything was about to close for the night and we wanted Mexican... food. They were getting ready to close but seated our party anyway. They could tell how hungry we were!?! As I scanned themenu, all the traditional dishes were there but I wanted something different. I settled in the seafood tacos and was pleasantlysurprised. The tacos were unbelievable but they made the beans taste delicious as well. The beans!!!! If you like thisreview, like and share this review. Thanks and have a great day! Read more

Good food and nice ambiance with outdoor seating right on the river. Many gluten free options marked on the menu though server... informed us that the fryer for chips is shared with items that are not gluten free. Read more

I ordered the fish tacos that were good. The jalapeño honey jam had a kick. Fiery and sweet. I don’t like hot so it was too... hot for me. But it came on the side so I didn’t put it in the other two tacos. Which was thoughtful. The rice was cooked justright with a hint of butter. There’s a good bar list. I would suggest reservations Friday through Sunday, especially if theweather is nice. I gave it three stars because I felt it was just average. Average service just trying to survive a busy night. No fault of the staff, just the way it is. Nothing really stood out to me as amazing. I would come back again because there wasalso nothing bad. Best Mexican-inspired food that we had in the 5 days that we were in the San Antonio Riverwalk area in our opinion. We chose to... sit inside because of the afternoon sun, instead of by the river. The restaurant had a fun atmosphere inside. Our server wasRoberto, and he was attentive and were pleased with the service. The oyster tacos and blue crab tacos were delicious. Theguacamole was made at table side, but this seemed to be a common service in the restaurants along Riverwalk. Read more

Really great experience here in San Antonio. We had a wonderful waiter who took care of us. Kept our drinks flowing and was... really attentive. The food was delicious, you get some pretty big servings, so keep that in mind. Probably could share an entreefor 2. Id highly recommend coming here for Tex-Mex if you’re in the area! Read more

Great location! Close to the Gunter Hotel, Riverwalk & the Majestic Theater. The food is amazing!! We had an order of Shrimp &... Oyster Street tacos and were not disappointed. The pineapple salsa on the tacos was the prefect sweet heat that put them overthe top. I will definitely make this a must visit whenever I'm in San Antonio again. Read more
