Reviews for M.H. Bread and Butter in San Anselmo, CA
I was really disappointed by my experience here. It was once a very good restaurant, however upon returning here I found it... dirty and disorganized. My drink was given away to another customer and I had to wait almost 10 minutes for a new one. Manycustomers were complaining about their drink orders being wrong. My fried egg sandwich was the most disappointing, as shown inthe photo below, when I opened it there was one piece of bacon, a scrap of an egg, and avocado and cheese on only one side ofthe sandwich. It was $16. Read more
Been in San Anselmo a few days and always noticed this place is packed in the mornings. Glad I stopped by, the meal was epic and... the price point spot on. Wanted to try the Polenta but it was already sold out. Super impressed and love seeing these types ofmom and pop businesses thrive. Read more
Wow !!! Delicious, everything here has the perfect quality and tasted. Just come and eat yourself.
Great spot. This time coffee and strawberry and blueberry muffin. Recommended.
This place is magnificent! Sincerely the best bread, croissants, and pastries I have so far in my life. The butter croissant is... so flaky, light, and Layered with butter and the soft pliable perfectly baked center is magical. Low carb, ketogenic diets bedamned. If you are even remotely close it is worth the visit. Having only tried 6 items off the menu (all were ) unbelievable inflavor and presentation. Must have! Read more
We absolutely loved the service and staff-- so high energy, friendly, and helpful. In our hour here, one of the employees seemed... to recognize and very peppily greet at least 5 groups of regulars. My friend and I ordered the cappuccino, the Josie, passionfruit cake, eggplant sandwich, and adobo chicken sandwich. The eggplant sandwich was our favorite of everything we ordered. Thecoffees weren't very good, and unfortunately we did not like the cake as much as we would have wanted to. The cake itself waskind of texturally thick and dry, and the flavors weren't having us wanting more. Their breads were delicious and stunning.Their crusts were artisanally baked with crispy crusts and moist, open crumb. They also have a plethora of outdoor seating. Read more
Stopped here on the way to Point Reyes. Wow. So delicious. I am gluten free so was concerned that the meals containing bread... would be the star. Thankfully the breakfast salad was as so outstanding I didn?t miss eating bread. My husband enjoyed a tastybreakfast sandwich. Oh my. So good. The outside seating was plentiful and sunny with shade under umbrellas. Can?t wait toreturn here again. Read more
