Reviews for The Bearded Barista in San Angelo, TX
I am very picky when it comes to coffee, and I was a little skeptical of what San Angelo had to offer, despite this, however, I... selected the \"best\" coffee shop in town.\n\nFinding this establishment is difficult because construction has completed blockedone road leading to it, however, once the entrance to the shopping center is discovered, parking is plentiful.\n\nThe locationis unmistakable due to its exterior decorations and lighting.\n\nThe inside was clean and orderly to the point if sterility -the potential hallmarks of someone running such an establishment as a hobby rather than a serious enterprise. Also, the staffwas young - again, a potential concern for serious coffee.\n\nDespite this, service was prompt, professional and friendly.\nIordered a cappuccino (my touchstone of rating for a coffee shop for the first time) and a seasonal pumpkin spice and key limemuffins.\n\nEverything was excellent.\nThe cappuccino had a very pleasant dark, toasted roast (which I prefer) which belies theexpertise of the roaster, as it is right on the border of potentially tasting \"burnt,\" but instead was perfect (again, for meand my tastes).\n\nThe muffins were also excellent, in that they were very well baked, moist with, for me, a little too muchsugar on top.\n\nThe prices were outstanding for the quality and portions I received.\n\nIn conclusion - this is an excellentcoffee shop, where care and attention are out into every aspect - especially the coffee.\n\nI would definitely return. My friend and I went to The Bearded Barrister for the first time to have coffee and catch up. We arrived at 3:15 PM and didn\'t... leave until 5:45! The mocha frappes were delicious, and the place is welcoming & comfortable. The staff was friendly andhelpful, open to chatting as they weren\'t very busy while we were there. We\'re going back, and bringing others with us forlunch! Great place. Read more

We were passing through San Angelo and was recommended this place and now we recommend it ourselves! I got an iced Nitro Cold... Brew coffee, and my husband got the Cold Brew Milkshake, they were both really good. Not pictured: we got their Amaretto muffinand it was so so good. Very homey feeling when you come in and they have games available to play with while you\'re there. Iforgot to get the name of the employee who took our order, but she was amazing. She was able to answer all of our questions andhelp select what kind of drink we wanted. Read more

5?s is not enough for this cute & comfy spot!!! We stopped in quickly on our way home & I didn\'t want to leave! The breakfast... croissant, coffee cake, defibrillator & cinnamon brown sugar latte were all amazing! It also looked to be a gathering place forbelievers which is the cherry on top! There was even a stocked changing table and feeding rocking chair for momma\'s ???? Thiswould definitely be my go-to if I lived here and we look forward to coming back if we\'re ever in the area again. Read more

I?m my opinion, the best coffee shop in town. The coffee is great. Anyone who knows good coffee can tell this place is special.... The menu is uncomplicated. The food is also surprisingly good with quality ingredients. The establishment is large, very cozy, and best of all, it?s clean. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The first time I visited, the owners were there and tooktime to explain their roasting method, some of their story and when my young son asked a lot of kid-like questions they answeredhim seriously and respectfully like he was a customer. The couches, decor, games and stage in addition to the coffee, food, service and cleanliness that I mentioned make this the best coffee shop in San Angelo. Oh, and they have a small conference roomin the back they rent for $15/hr (at time of writing). It was great for the baby shower we just had there. Read more
