We tried this place out based on the show's recommendation, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. They weren't wrong, this place is... awesome! Their Mole is really good and their salsa, well, we bought a quart of it to go! The staff were all super friendly, wewent twice in 1 week for to-go orders and everyone was great. The 2nd night I went back to the car and they brought everythingout to me. We definitely recommend! Read more

No wonder this place was featured on Guy Fieri?s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives show. This place is the real deal if you want... extremely tasty Mexican food. First thing, make a reservation advance! Especially for dinner, it?s almost impossible to getseated without a reservation that day. Staff were very friendly and checked on us often to refill waters and get us drinks andmore chips and salsa. They bring out complementary chips and salsa that is honestly the best that I have ever had. The chipsare super crispy and well salted, and the salsa is surprisingly spicy yet boasting a lot of roasted and fresh flavors. I wentwith their tacos don Ramon, and my friend went with their chicken and steak fajitas. You can?t go wrong with either option. Thetacos, while looking like entirely filled with lettuce at first, actually have a ton of beautifully seasoned and tender steakand chorizo. The tortillas themselves are lightly fried to that they?re in between us often a crunchy taco shell. It?s servedwith a tangy green sauce, a big jalapeño, and a bed of fresh pico de gallo. The fajitas are also excellent. A big portion ofsizzling chicken, steak, and onions are served with tortillas, guacamole, and pico. In the end, I highly recommend this if youare looking for the best Mexican food that Utah has offer. There?s no wonder this place and it?s sister restaurant have beenvoted as some of the top restaurants in Utah time and time again. Read more

We went to Red Iguana 2 on a recommendation from a friend and we are so glad we listened! The service was great and the food was... delicious. What stuck me the most is the finely craft combination of unique flavors. I must also give a shout-out to our server,Manny for his margarita recommendation. A lot of times when I ask a server for their recommendations they will quickly suggestthe top-shelf, most expensive items. Manny took a different approach and the margarita was spot-on perfect. Also, when I askedif adding the optional beans and rice to my enchilada entree would be too much to eat, he didn?t push the upswell, but insteadexplained the size of the entree and left the decision up to me. BTW, I?m glad I skipped the beans and rice because theenchiladas were more than plenty. I hope you enjoy your Red Iguana 2 experience as much as we did. Read more

A very busy place but we had a margarita at the bar while waiting. The fajitas were tasty as were the chips and salsa. The only... down side is rice and beans are extra. Worth checking out if you like good Mexican food. Read more

I live in Texas, where Mexican food is a big deal. I was super skeptical going for Mexican food in Utah. My expectations were... pretty low. But I was pleasantly surprised. The food is fantastic. The menu is pretty extensive, perhaps even slightlyoverwhelming. The margaritas are on point. Even my kids enjoyed their meal, which doesn?t happen often. Can?t say I?ll be back,as I don?t live in Utah. But should I find myself back in Salt Lake, this place will be my first stop. Read more

Expect to wait if you?re going at an hour when other people eat. It?s delicious and busy, and worth the wait. A local favorite... with so many delicious options. I love the green sauce with chips and often find myself craving it when it?s been too long sinceI?ve had it. I don?t ever remember to take photos of my food, because I?m too busy eating it. Close to the train tracks, whichadds entertainment to an already colorful establishment. Many drink options and a full menu of top Mexican favorites. Chips andsalsa, but do yourself a favor and add the green sauce, a chimichanga, and a beer, paired with friends or family, and your nightwill be made. Read more

Due to the long wait I ended up at their 2nd location. After a short wait I was seated at the bar and enjoyed a nice drink and... one of the best meals I've had in SLC. I can now understand the long wait time which I do not mind as long as the food isdelicious! This is definitely a must when you are in town. Read more
