I ordered the Chile Verde, the portion will fill you up and i have to say it was 4/5. I still managed to save room for desert so... I ordered a Flan, although it is creamier than I'm use to I'll give it 4/5. If you are patient and craving some Mexican foodthen this place is just what you need. They were really busy i have to thank Tony, great service. I will definitely be comingback to try the rest of their dishes. I am only giving it 4/5 stars due to the 45min wait but I can say well worth the price. Irecommend you call ahead. Read more
Very quaint old-time Mexican. The line is long, but the food is quite tasty. I really enjoyed the Beef Flautas and tacos. ... The mole was also delicious and fresh. I personally prefer a spicier Mexican cuisine, but the flavors were good. Read more
Went here with a colleague. Wait was shorter than they estimated. Inside was SO busy, but I LOVED it. The decor and atmosphere... were immaculate. Servers are attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly. Complementary chips and salsa! I got theenchiladas poblanas and they were incredible!! I left feeling happy and full, but not where I had to food coma after. Great Mexican food. Service was excellent. Atmosphere very relaxed and casual. Fish tacos were very fresh. The flavors on... everything was just fabulous. The mole was amazing just as good as if you were in Oaxaca. Very popular place and well worth thewait. I made reservation on Resy and had no wait. Our waiter Rodrigo was very friendly , helpful and just a great guy. Ifvisiting SLC strongly recommend if you have a craving for good Mexican food. Read more
I?ve been driving past the Red Iguana everyday for 16 days while staying in Salt Lake. Every evening I see a huge crowd of... people waiting to get in. The saying goes, go where the locals go. Being a lover of Mexican food, I googled it and read thereviews which are raving. Having the chance tonight and driving by earlier than usual I pulled into the lot and walked in andwas seated and served instantly. I ordered the Red Iguana combo. This was hands down the best Mexican food I?ve ever had. Ican?t really add much to the reviews that are already posted. I will be going back and when in town with family I will bebringing them here. What a great spot with perhaps the best Mexican food I've had, definitely the best mole. Food was fresh and well prepared. Small... busy atmosphere that is bustling. Service was above average. Phenomenal food and staff! We were on the wait-list for an hour and then missed our check in time but they still allowed us to... get a table. Our server was friendly, helpful, and great! The mole was phenomenal. I suggest getting the mango mole onenchiladas. All of the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. Truly felt welcome there. Fantastic experience and I highlysuggest!
