Neutral Ground is bringing the Cajun and Creole flavor to Salt Lake!! I\'ve been dying to try them out since I heard they were... opening in Rose Park! My Husband and I went in to celebrate our Anniversary, the vibes as soon as you walked in were immaculate.We sat in the Lounge, it was soo beautifully decorated and with ambient lighting you feel totally transported.\n\nHere\'s whatwe ordered\n\n•Fried Green Tomatoes\n•Southern Carbonara\n•Seafood Gumbo\n•Beignets\n\nThe Fried Green Tomatoes wereDELISH! Loved the sauces they paired with them too! The Southern Carbonara was such fantastic twist on a classic. I ate thewhole thing. It was soooo good I had to finish it there. My Husband very much enjoyed the Seafood Gumbo! He commented it wasvery traditional and spot on. Ohhh the Beignets. Everything we ate, from the appetizer, to the main course, and dessert - it was all very delicious! The crawfish cakes have... large crawfish in them, and comes with yummy dipping sauces. They cook the seafood gumbo for 3 days so all the meat falls apartin your mouth. My husband loved the Cajun pasta. For your birthday, they\'ll give you free beignets with yummy whiskey carameland lemon curd dipping sauces. They have a really decent selection of alcohol too.\n\nThey\'ve really decorated the interior ofthe restaurant so well. The waiter was awesome! The manager brought us our food and the chef came out to wish me a happybirthday. They really made sure we were happy. It\'s a wonderful place to celebrate and we\'ll find any excuse to go back! We already have reservations for our 2nd visit! This place was exceptional. Food and drinks were great-don\'t miss the peach... cobbler! The decor and vibe were perfect. We can\'t wait to go back!\n\nUpdate-we went back for our 2nd visit and it was evenbetter than the first visit. This time we added in the fried green tomatoes-so good! Even my husband who generally isn\'t a fanof them liked them. He had the red beans and rice (which I sampled)-the flavors were perfect. It was such a hearty dish. Isplurged and got the waygu filet oscar. O.M.G. The espresso rub was delightful. I didn\'t want the dish to end! We had friendswith us so we HAD to get the peach cobbler AND the beignets. The beignets did not disappoint. The lemon custard was a greataddition. This is a fantastic restaurant with a great vibe. The night I went there was a great musician playing in the lounge. Food is... really great and I used to live in New Orleans. Gumbo tasted like I got it in French Quarter, same for Red Beans & Rice.Desserts solid too. A little off beaten path but you will be glad if you give it a try! Read more
