We passed by this place last year when we were traveling and so it's been on the list to try for a while. We finally made it... back to SLC and finally got the chance! As others have stated, they were out of a lot of things. My husband and I were bothinterested in trying "chicken" options of which they were out of. Little bummed but we got a BBQ burger and grilled cheeseinstead. The food was good, the grilled cheese was so creamy and flavorful. The fries were good, definitely salty if you areinto that sort of thing. Online it does state they share the space with a music venue so we went knowing this but weren't quiteprepared for the level of noise this would mean. Luckily it only lasted about 15 minutes but it's quite jarring, so if you havenoise sensitivities you might want to come prepared or skip this place. Overall it was a cute experience, I'm glad we got totry it but there wasn't anything super special about it. I am glad to see a vegan option but have certainly tried better in thearea. Read more
Fun and cheeky atmosphere in this restaurant. Pairs well with all their Vegan food. Been twice and the chef has come over to... serve the food once and comment on a change in order that had to be made - nice to see a personal interest in not just theirwork, their customers as well! There's also the social justice component that makes the feel that they do care about thecommunity / people. Read more
I really don?t like to give bad reviews, especially to places that are highly rated, but I feel obligated to be honest. Our... experience was pretty bad when it came to our food. We arrived for dinner and were notified they were out of their mozzarellasticks and sausage. It was disappointing as most of the items we wanted to try, would be served without the sausage or thesubstitute was just more tofu. For appetizers we ordered the fried pickles. These were extremely salty, and over cooked so thepickle themselves were dry and more like chips with way too much batter. It was simply too greasy and salty for us to evenfinish it. Per the entrees we had the chopped cheese sandwich and the chicken and waffles. The waffle was super dry, andcrumbled into pieces whenever you cut it or even pinched it with the fork. It was almost like a large cookie more than waffle. The chicken was also not great, with the seasoning on the protein just not tasting all that great. Some of the spices were toooverwhelming and it did not compliment the sweetness of the chicken and waffle plate well at all. The chopped cheese wasn?t toobad, but the filling was mostly lettuce and bread. The protein was good, but it just wasn?t enough of it to make the dish worthit. The portions were also pretty small, so we left feeling pretty hungry and not satisfied. Perhaps this was an off day, after all we were the only people there the entire time we had our meal. Most reviews are good, and their offerings seem good atleast on paper, but nothing in our meal was satisfying. There was also nothing distinctive or different about this place, otherthan the dark ambiance of the restaurant itself. It was average and there wasn?t anything unique about it. Read more
Apologies for the bad photo, but after spending breakfast time with my family in a non vegan-friendly place I was really hungry... and started eating the French toast right away. Besides the French toast, I also had pancakes with chocolate sauce and peanutbutter and both were delicious and very well prepared. The service was great, and everything arrived very quickly. Therestaurant has a dark/casual atmosphere and decor that I think is really cool. I wanted to try other dishes, but I was feelingfull after the pancakes and French toast. I would definitely go back to this place next time I visit Salt Lake City. Reallyrecommend to vegans and non-vegans! Read more
