I came here for lunch, and left unimpressed. I was expecting bold flavors, yet despite all of the spices, it seemed rather... bland. I ordered a combo plate, but none of the dozen or so items left me wanting more. Meat was tough and overcooked. Food waswarm, but not hot. When I went to pay, I noticed that the open kitchen consists of a two burner stove and a microwave. Judgingby the temperature and texture of the food I ate, I'm guessing the microwave is used quite heavily. The freshly brewed Ethiopiancoffee is the only thing I can recommend. Read more

I’ve been here a lot over the years and each time I swear it becomes magically more delicious. Usually my cousins and I split... the large family platter (I think it says it serves 3-4 people, but we usually do 2-3). The first time I went the spongysourdough bread (injera) was unlike anything I’d ever had and I didn’t really like it, but it grew on me quickly and nowthis is one of my very favorite foods. It takes time to get your order as I’ve never seen more than 2 people working thekitchen at a time, but the wait is totally worth it.
