Went here for a late lunch early dinner maybe that was the problem. I had the pulled pork large sandwich with fries. The... sandwich was nice and large and had high hopes. That is we?re it stopped. The pork was so dry even loading it full of their BBQsauce couldn?t bring it back. Almost like it had been sitting to long and they just put it on the bun without bringing any lifeback. Mediocre bbq restaurant. Mac n cheese was overcooked, pulled pork was dry.
I ordered delivery via Uber Eats. I ordered two baked potatoes(one with brisket one with pulled pork), fries and cookies. When I... received my order both baked potatoes had no meat. I called the store and not only was she offering to remake them and give mewhole new potatoes but to also drive them to me in town. It was an extremely nice gesture, I declined the delivery and said Iwould just come and pick it up. Both potatoes were made in 5min and were made to perfection, I was also given two vouchers. Open face sandwich is fantastic. I go here multiple times a week. I love it! As someone who goes there a lot you can?t tell when... good changes are happening. Do not listen to the one stars who rate every single restaurant they visit with a one star review.Those people can?t EVER be pleased. This place is clean, organized, the people are friendly and engaging. The food is alwaysfresh. They seems to always have some one checking in on customers or cleaning the kitchen or the dine in area. Younger staffare always keeping themselves busy and that say something for whoever is running that place now. Best part is unlike Hickory Hutthey don?t smother all you food in so much sauce and grease you can?t taste the meat. I mean we are old enough to add extrasauce if we need it. Smh. Just doesn?t taste good. The sausage was like a hot dog. The cobbler was not done. The dough was mushy. Turkey was dry and I... went at 4pm. Mac and cheese was like out of a box. The potato salad was good. Oh and some guy walked in from outside, maybe theowner or manager, went straight to the kitchen and started stirring food. No hand washing. SMH! Read more
Ordered baked potato with pulled pork.....very disappointed, as there was less than 1.5 oz of pulled pork...very very stingy... with amount of meat they will put on a baked potato compared to just a few years ago....apparently they're trying to save $ andincrease their bottom line by halving the meat portions.
