Google said they closed at 9:30 and I arrived around 8:45 to place a takeout order. However, the sign on the front door said... they closed at 9, so being sensitive to placing an order only a few mins before close, I asked the gentleman at the frontcounter if it was too late to place an order. He didn't look super thrilled, but he asked the cashier to take my order and shegave me a menu. During the 60-90 seconds it took for me to scan the menu and place my order, she tapped her fingernails loudlyon the counter to signal to me to hurry up, which I didn't care for. The taste and quality of food was fair and the portionswere okay. The carne asada was a 6/10, the beans a 6.5/10, the rice a 6.5/10, the tortillas 5/10, and the guacamole a 5/10. Thechips and salsa were the highlight of the meal, with the fresh-tasting salsa an 8/10. There's certainly better Mexican food forless money, but maybe not in Salida. Read more

Tried quite a few items here today and really enjoyed everything. I had the beef taco and chicken tostada along with the beans... and rice. I appreciate that each protein had its own distinctive flavor, too often Mexican restaurants flavor everything thesame and both were delicious. The beans had really good flavor too. My partner had a chorizo, asada, and a pork taco and allthree were great. Because I had to I also tried an octopus taco and it was also great. Definitely will visit here again when I?min the area. This restaurant wins all time worst waitress award!! Rude, confrontational & even chased me outside to scream at me because I... left no tip! Yes, I left my credit card & she ran outside to me. But she screamed at me ?SORRY I?m such a horrible waitress thatyou couldn?t tip me)! I went in to get owners number to call & report her. She continued to make a scene in the restaurant! I?mnot giving you the owners private number! Screaming it! I never ask for the owners private number!! Then a big woman stood upfrom a booth & told me to leave!! OMG! It was the waitress making a scene! Everything I said to her, she twisted, made faces atme & was just so dramatic. No refills on drinks, refused to ask us how we were doing, how the food was, acted like we couldn?tafford another bowl of chips for $1.50! She would ask the other booth how things were, if they needed anything.,.but not us. She ruined my daughters birthday lunch!! I told her about it too & she was horribly rude to me!! She would even make faces atus! I?m almost 60 years old and honestly I have never had a more horrible dining experience. I ask for well done, crispyfajitas & I got medium cooked. But she never ask us how our food was! I?m attaching photos (if I can) of the pile of dishes onour table because she refused to remove one dirty dish. She also gave my grandson all carbonation, Sprite was out. We had totell her & she acted as if we did it!! Telling us that tomorrow would be the soonest to get a sprite! Okay.,..so he got waterinstead! Didn?t even offer him another soda or drink! I would absolutely advice anyone to go dine in a kinder place. The chips were made on site, and tge salsa was fresh and spicy. I couldn't stop eating them, they were so good. The poppers were... crunchy and gooey and I didn't want to stop eating them either. I ordered the mexican enchiladas and ohhhhh my gosh, i ate allof it. It is by far my favorite mexican restaurant. Read more
