Reviews for High Side! Bar & Grill in Salida, CO
Several great options for vegetarian diets here. The day we visited we just had a snack, so shared the hummus plate. It was... delicious! The pita was warm and soft, without being chewy - the best we've ever had! Hummus was yummy, too. We sat in thelower patio area because we had our dog with us + others in our group bringing food from a different place. Our server was veryflexible for us to do this since no spaces open in the adjacent river walk area. We really appreciated theirgraciousness. Patio tables are well spaced and most have some shade. Beautiful area to complement the great food! We willdefinitely be back for a full meal when we return to Collegiate Peaks! Read more
The location is nice but that's about it. We sat on the outside patio with our 1 year old and 2 dogs. Dogs down by the river... would bark, causing our dogs to bark back and we were chastised and told to keep them quiet. Our food arrived cold, and withoutsilverware. When we asked our waitress for utensils to eat our food, we were told they didn't have any clean ones. We sat therefor 7 minutes waiting to be able to eat our already cold food. The ranch dressing for the Cobb salad was watery and I barely ate5 bites. The French fries were so salty that even our dogs wouldn't eat them. Our son liked his mini corn dogs however. No icefor your water or straws offered. Wouldn't eat here again. Eat somewhere else then go for a walk by the river if you want theviews! Read more
This was the only place in downtown Salida serving food past 9 pm. My wife and were hungry having driven 8 hours and staying at... a hotel in town, so we stopped in. It is decorated very nice (industrial modern). I got the gyro and my wife got the Tuscanturkey sandwich with a couple local brews, a spiked Arnold Palmer, and a key lime pie. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and greatcustomer service! Read more

This is a great place! We loved that it was seat yourself, dog friendly, and had great food. The service was fast, the... atmosphere was amazing, and the pricing was very reasonable for the area. Seating your self was nice because we chose a spot bythe river to watch the tubers and rafters through the water park section of the river. I posted pictures of the Burger I got andthe menu. I got a burger of the day (Green chili with jalapeños), and my friends got the falafel sandwich, a euro, and thenormal burger. They were perfect sizes and very tasty. A special call out- after we sat ourselves, the waitress brought uswater and a dog bowl filled with water within a minute of us sitting down. The next drinks arrived within two minutes. Ourentire meal went like that. They used the entire staff instead of one person - It?s incredible service. Read more

Tasty chicken club, fried pickles done right, even a pickled egg (I know right?) was nicely done. The Moscow mule was solid.... This resturant is also dog friendly in the outdoor area. Definitely recommend checking this place out for a lunch or earlydinner and the pets are welcome! Read more
Was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat but it was a bit late and all the other restaurants were closing soon. High Side... was the only thing that was open, other than fast food. I decided to give them a try and was not disappointed. Their portionswere plentiful and their food was flavorful. Also was able to catch some live music along the river while eating which was anice surprise. Service was excellent. Read more
