My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Frankie Rowland's in Salem. The service and food were both exceptional. Our server... was so attentive and knowledgeable. A few different servers stopped at our table and were all so friendly. We ordered the brieen croute, oysters on a half shell, brussell sprouts, chilean sea bass and filet. Everything was delicious - I'll keep comingback for the sea bass. In fact, it's only 9:30 am and I wish I had the dish in front of me now! Thank you for the diningexperience. Read more
Presentation is very important when it comes to a nice restaurant, and Frankie Rowland's needs to do better. The garnishes are... missing, the seafood is overpriced for being so close to the Atlantic, and the wait staff is ill-dressed. If you're expectingcustomers to pay for quality, then the entire atmosphere needs to be high quality. Everyone is very nice, and the food is good- but it never hurts to take it up a notch. Thank you! Stopped in on a date night for drinks and dessert. We sat outside on the patio. The service was awesome. I had a Cosmopolitan... and Mudslide Martini and they were both good. I got the bread pudding which was amazing!! It was like a Krispy Kreme donut. I'dlike to come back for dinner. Read more
Very much enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar lounge. Wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Had drinks and... appetizers on the couches which was fun and different. Definitely recommend the pineapple martinis, crab dip, baked brie, andbruschetta/goat cheese. Read more

The thing about Frankie Rowlands (both locations) is that they are wildly inconsistent. We have had a few exceptional meals... there but more often than not, we have had so-so or downright awful experiences. Tonight, four of our five steaks were cookedterribly. Those who ordered medium rare were served well done. Those who ordered medium were served a steak so rare that it wasnot edible. After waiting 1.5 hours from ordering to receive the steaks, it was painful to wait another 45 minutes to have themcooked properly. The staff offered little apology. Unfortunately, this has happened to us on many separate occasions. We keepgoing back to Frankie?s because they are the only game in town but tonight may have been the nail in the coffin. Read more
