Amazing food and good wine selections. The bone marrow was fresh and greasy, as it should be. The salmon was fresh and not... overcooked. The radicchio salad was crunchy and perfectly seasoned. I am a picky eater but I had nothing to complain about! Wewent back the next day and ordered the flat iron steak, the octopus and some dessert. The octopus was really fabulous and thecheesecake is one of the best I had. The steak was ok but not as good as some of the other items on the menu. Read more

My wife and I decided to try The Cozy Taberna tonight for dinner/happy hour for our 4 year anniversary.\n\nWe started off with a... beautiful bottle of wine, a 1999 Rioja. It was an absolute delight to start. We were surprised to have such an old vintage ontheir list knowing they have some local wines at a cheaper price.\n\nWe first ordered the Garlic rubbed toast along with Goatcheese dumplings. I would say overall a 2 out of 5 rating. The Romesco sauce was nice and smooth with a nice spice, but thedumplings had an overpowering burnt-herbal-taste to the point of inedible. The only saving grace was rubbing it over the garlictoast to create our own small plate.\n\nAfter having some more wine and a little time, we wanted another round of food. Weordered the Roast coppa steak frites and Manchego Burger, both medium rare.\n\nThe Roast coppa Steak only tasted like liquidsmoke. It was very overpowering and ultimately inedible. After cutting into it the au’jus ran out all over the fries likesteak soup. The food runner came over after 2 minutes because “the chef was worried there wasn’t enough fries.” It lackedlittle flavor other than smoke.\n\nMy wife ordered the Manchego burger with frites which came with aioli. We had to ask for theaioli after a few minutes because it did not come with the dish.\n\nWe followed this with the Manchego burger. The bottom bunwas completely soggy, soaked in Romesco, and that’s all we could taste. Absolutely no care for the very thin, broken patty ofmeat which had no seasoning.\n\nWe finished up the night with a Paloma Tequila drink which saved the night.\n\nUltimately thisis an overrated restaurant with below par food and average drinks.\n\nI will say, the Only positive tonight was our BartenderTaylor. (Purple streak hair) Very nice person! Read more

High recommendations for this place! Service was very friendly, and quick. I recommend reserving ahead of time. Besides great... service, the food and drinks were perfect. Our server even dropped off a courtesy dish. There would not be something I wouldchange about any of our dishes/drinks! We sat on the patio and enjoyed being outdoors in the evening. Read more

Cozy Taberna was phenomenal. I was with a large corporate group and we had more than 30 different boards, each with cuisine... choices that were top notch. I would put the quality on par with some of the best restaurants from around the US.\n\nBest ofall, the price for all of it was shockingly reasonable. Read more

This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to! The service, the food, and atmosphere was top notch. As an avid foodie,... I’ve been to Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago, Boston and Cozy Taberna is definitely up to par. This is a true hidden gem in Salem. Our server Maddie was super friendly and attentive. We ordered cocktails which were delicious and they did not skimp. We startedwith the house made brioche bread, goat cheese dumplings, Spanish octopus and the squid ink pasta, and we ended with thechocolate lava cake. From start to finish the meal was superb. The Cozy Taberna is definitely doing it right. We can’t wait togo back while we are here in Salem! Please check it out :) Read more

Tucked away in Electric Alley in Salem, Oregon is a new, exciting and \"cozy\" restaurant that you definitely must try ~ The... Cozy Taberna.\n\nThey offer Spanish style tapas plates for sharing and also regular plated dinner options.\n\nIf you want anexceptional dining experience, ask to sit at the chef\'s table. Reservations are highly recommended ahead of time as I havetried to book them before and they are consistently booked out. Read more
