To celebrate our 17th anniversary my wife and I wanted to try a new place so we went to Taproot Old Mill Cafe at the Old Mission... Mill. It was incredible! We both had the Loaded Biscuits and Gravy and it far exceeded our expectations! The potatoes werecooked perfectly. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy was the best sausage gravy I think I've ever had. Topped with afried egg and bacon bites, the menu says bacon bits but that is an understatement! We washed it all down with a yummy cocktail.I had the Breakfast Mary and it was very good. My wife had the Blueberry Lavender Fizz and it was very good also. 10/10 Read more

The restaurant was a little hard to find around the back of the building. The food was okay. Large portions, good prices, but... the taste was a little off. I got the loaded biscuits and gravy and I think they use dinner sausage like you get on pizzainstead of breakfast sausage. They also gave us a dirty fork and when we asked for a new one the waitress said it was soap. I?mpretty sure soap is not yellow, it looks far more like dried cheese. Read more

Cute and cozy cafe on the backside of the beautiful old mill building. Really lovely outdoor patio that's shaded by the building... and far removed from the road. A total oasis. Super menu, with an amazing drink special at the moment: sparkling sweet iced teasof several varieties. A brilliant idea on a hot day and totes delish. Read more

Very quaint and casual environment, located in the back of the Willamette Heritage Center. Cody, our server, was friendly and... got all nine of our orders correct. I would recommend the cinnamon roll pancakes if you're craving for something sweet. Read more

Good food in a peaceful setting. As an author, I've enjoyed sitting quietly with my work at this setting, enjoying outstanding... food and good beer (or whatever beverage appeals). Friendly staff add to the experience. Lovely place, indeed. Read more

The local Salem restaurant is a perfect place to get some good food and see some of historic Salem! This location is in the old... mill, a historic area. The restaurant is preserved well with some Salem flair and art. Nice boho vibes here for anyone seekingsome more laid back place to get your grub on. The restaurant is around back! Indoor and outdoor seating are convenient. There's also a nice lawn for kids to get their wiggles out (usually). There is a 'Beer & Yoga' class on the lawn sometimes soplan accordingly. This is a family/kid friendly place until 9pm. There's also and creek that runs along the property snd you cancatch some shade or feed the ducks! Live music is occasionally outside and fun before 9! You can expect a variety of yummy foodhere, options for vegans (thank goodness)! Top notch service and attentive staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpfulhere. If alcohol is your thing, they have a full bar. But, also make a mean Shirley Temple ???? Great place to take out oftowners visiting Salem! Read more
