We were shocked to be able to get a bar spot right away on an extremely busy October Saturday in Salem. This is a relaxing, dim... tavern with quality service and good food. Our server m/bartender was a pro and very attentive. The fish n chips were flaky anddelicious. The pumpkin ravioli were a nice twist, just wish there were more than six on the plate. Don?t hesitate to stop inMercy Tavern for a good meal and place to relax. Read more

We went here for dinner recently and had the Carolina gold ribs and pumpkin ravioli. The ribs were amazing and fell right off... the bone. I enjoyed the pickles as well. My husband did not like the pumpkin raviolis and felt like the sauce should have beenthicker, as well as more flavor to the overall dish. I gave 4 stars because the atmosphere was great and inviting. Also thestaff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend the ribs, just not the pumpkin raviolis. Read more

So we visited Mercy Tavern yesterday for our first time and LOVED it. The dining room/bar is fairly small inside and it does... have outdoor seating on the sidewalk extensions. We ordered the Tavern Burger with garlic fries, Reuben with Garlic fries andpumpkin ravioli. Everything was so very tasty. This burger is so tasty that I would select it as the burger standard for allother burgers to strive to become. Perfect consistency of meat, perfect amount of cheese, excellent bun and absolutely no needfor additional condiments. Order this one as it is listed on the menu. The Reuben was very tasty with tender meet served ontoast. The pumpkin ravioli was the best we have had with full delightful flavor. The garlic fries had a healthy seasoning offresh garlic through the fries and were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. The only negative is that they do notserve brewed unsweet iced tea. We can highly recommend a visit or several visits to Mercy Tavern. Read more

We were in town visiting from GA and making our way to multiple cities/states during our trip. A local suggested this spot for... dinner and wow it did not disappoint! I highly recommend the garlic truffle fries and their buffalo nachos. The fish wasn?t badeither! The restaurant also has a great feel to it with very artsy psychedelic style decor. Very cool. Visited Salem on our tour through MA all the way from GA and IN. Our group was walking around downtown deciding on a dinner... spot. Originally wanted to try the wicked witch cafe bc duh we?re in Salem. But the restaurant was a tad dead as we walked by.While deciding on where to go, a local walked up and started chatting with us. She told us mercy tavern was the place to eat.She gave some other helpful tips too. So off we went. Great service in their small space. Lots of on tap beer options and thefood was delicious. Would def come again if we were local. Read more

Got wings and a burger. Their hot and sweet wings tasted fresh, amazing flavor, and blue cheese sauce was excellent. The burger... was super satisfying, cooked perfectly, juicy. Fries were great, although mine weren't that hot. I'd definitely come back if I'mnear the area again. I ordered a drink but it was a bit strong and wasnt memorable for me. The room was also hot and humid, theyjust had fans going. Read more

Loved this tiny little bar. Super friendly bartender with good banter, and friendly folks willing to share the bar to make room... for us. We didn't eat but the food looked damn good and seemed to be coming out very fast. Good beer selection, and a coollittle spot to stop for a break from sightseeing. Will definitely return someday.
