Went into this location ask for a table the hostess want us to go across the establishment to a time in the back we said no... wanted a table close to the entrance so my 99 year old Father did not have to walk so far. The hostess said that we shouted ather and another waitress said we did but we did not! She then told us that we would have a long wait for service which that wasexactly what happened. Other customers came in and were seated in our area was waited on got their food and left. It took thewaitress 15 minutes to take our drink order 15 minutes to serve us our drinks. Then after 10 minutes she finally came and toldtook our order. After 25 minutes we recieved 2 out of the 3 orders it took them another 10 minutes to get our last order. We wasnever asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. When the food came out it was Cold. We were there about 1 and a half hours toget poor service a Hostess and Waitress with an attitude and Cold Food. We probably will not be going back to this Denny's fora long time. Denny's should look into this. Another elderly couple were in there they ordered 2 pancakes and a bowl of soupthey were there about an hour and 25 minutes to get the same kind of service we got. I think that they were disappointed in theservice to. Just remember if you go to the Salem IL Denny's don't make the staff mad or you will be there a very long time andget subpar service and Cold Food. The waitress was great!! The food was horrible everything was super salty my husband's stake was dog food just bad I got a cob... salad with prime rib added on the dressing was horrible the meat was Bland and tasteless All in all a bad experience and wewill not go back to that restaurant To top everything off there was a fly swimming in my dressing Read more
My server Danny, was having a bad night, but he was patient, kind, and tried to have positive energy with me, even though there... was a group of intoxicated customers, who were not the nicest they could have been. Many blessings to him, as I do not know thatI could have been as nice or as patient. I applaud him and his efforts!! Read more
Rachel did a very good job, even when we were a difficult group. Serving 25 people all at one time can definitely be very... difficult. The food was good and I always had a refill when needed. To go cups were even offered. She went above and beyond. Iwill definitely be back. Read more
Healthy and plentiful portions. Staff was very kind, but understaffed just like everywhere. It did not take long to get seated... or to receive our meals, but check out was slow. We normally spend about an hour for a late breakfast, but here we spent anextra 20 minutes waiting to pay. If you got time, it was hot, good and the server was wonderful. Read more
Great meal and great service. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes with gravy, it was absolutely delicious.... It was made perfect. My husband ordered the country fried chicken steak with country potatoes and squash. It was made perfectand was delicious. I would definitely recommend this Denny's for anyone passing through the area. Read more
