TRAGIC EXPERIENCE. went for a bachelorette weekend. we had 6 girls and made a reservation. when we got there there were not many... people there. however it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food. the eggplant was cold, the crab cakes were not good and thetwo filets were not cooked properly. the staff was so kind when we brought everything to them but the chef came to talk to usand he wasn?t very apologetic. said asking for a medium well steak just takes that long and wasn?t friendly about it. the staffhelped out with our bill and really tried to make it right but wouldn?t recommend the chef. Great view, fun atmosphere (live singer)! Service staff seemed inexperienced. Took over an hour to receive food our over priced,... underwhelming meal. Very disappointing. Cold potatoes, overcook steak, cheese sticks were cold. Salad had so much dressing itwas like soup. Salmon was $25 for the smallest piece you?ve ever seen.No flavor. Only restitution was $50 off our $174 bill. Ohand they weren?t selling alcohol because they were ?switching over the bar?. Would not recommend. Read more

I couldn't pick a more beautiful place to have an awful dining experience. I feel badly for the overworked and undertrained... server (yes, singular) and the kitchen staff having to work with subpar food, so I can't blame them. But everything others havewritten about the food is true. Ordered filet, no filet. Got ribeye. I've had better ribeyes at Waffle House. And it was$40. Roasted red potatoes were almost as good as the hash browns I make on Saturday mornings from day-old potatoes. The bowlof Sweet Thai Chili sauce had wonderful notes of under cooked broccoli. The chicken Parmesan brought back wonderful memories ofelementary school lunches. The musician playing on the deck during dinner was phenomenal. And for this wonderful experience Igot to pay $112.46. The food was great but the service was a little slow. Had a party of 15 and they only served a gallon jug of punch which was... gone after 3 to 4 plp filled there glass. The restaurant has a very great view and the breeze was wonderful. The bartender wasalso great. The manager was nice and wanted to know if they could of done anything different. Read more

Let me start this out by saying how I rarely write reviews. My friend and I decided to dine here on a Friday night; upon... arrival, we walked into the rooftop, and the bartender seemed confused as to why we were there. We then proceeded to seatourselves on the outdoor patio. The bartender came out and asked what we wanted to drink and then asked us what we wanted toeat, with no time to look over the menu. We ordered filets and an appetizer, but 30 minutes later, we were told they were out ofthe filets, and the chef was making us ribeyes instead. (I don?t mind how they were out of the filets, but it would have beennice to know sooner and to have been given a chance to relook over the menu.) Another 35 minutes passed, and we finally got theappetizer? we were shocked that the appetizer was cold like it had been left out. Five minutes after receiving our appetizer,our ribeye came out, and let me tell you, my friend and I were not impressed. There was little to no seasoning on the steak, and75% of it was fat. The mashed potatoes we got on the side had no salt and were cold. We finished our meal quickly, ready toleave. The waitress never came to us to ask if we wanted the check. My friend had to go up to the bar to get the billherself. Although this place has a beautiful beach view, we will not be dining here again. Read more

Overpriced food and alcohol, bad food, terrible drinks, disappointing service. Let me preface this with: I rarely leave bad... reviews and I?m not hard to please - seriously, go look at my other reviews. We had quite an unpleasant experience at therooftop at ocean lodge....would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Upon arriving, there was no hostess and they seemedconfused why we were there (we had a reservation). Once seated, we noticed a $10 corkage fee for wines and $5 for beers....thisalone is ridiculous, but to our amazement, the wine we ordered was brought out and just set on the table...so you pay a corkagefee to open and pour the bottle yourself? But wait, there?s more! We ordered appetizers, then didn?t hear from our waitressuntil the appetizers came out 20-30 minutes later - how were the appetizers you ask? Cold, like they had been taken out of thefridge and someone forgot to warm them up before serving. At this point, it was starting to get laughable, but we thought maybeit?ll get better, so we ordered drinks....two cosmos, one old fashion, and an ocean lodge tea...all of which came outindividually and were worse than a drink at a college bar. They literally tasted like the bartender had never made a drink intheir life - which was apparent when the cosmos were brought out individually. If you?re making two of the same drink, you makeboth at the same time. The cosmos tasted like pure alcohol. The old fashion tasted like it had been sitting out and gettingwatered down by melting ice for 15 minutes. And the ocean lodge tea? I don?t even know where to begin with that abomination.After that, we asked for the bill and went elsewhere for dinner. Thankfully, the waitress sensed our disappointment and removedsome items from our bill - but normally the restaurant automatically adds gratuity to every bill regardless of party size -probably because the service, food, and drinks make you feel like you?re being punished.
