We waited about 30 minutes to get a table. The place was definitely crowded for a weekday. Service was good. Restroom was... clean. I got the cheese bread sticks as an appetizer. It was only $6 but even at that price I think it wasn't worth it. Itlooked like left over bread with a white cheese square was dropped on it and microwaved. It wasn't bad but it wasn't worth itwhen we ordered multiple pizzas. Pizza was good. The Neopolotana was good. It was simple and not overly filling. I think for afancy pizza place it's worth trying. Sal's has some of the best pizza I've ever had! Always delicious and great service. A must when in St Simons!

I haven't eaten here in years, so this review is fairly irrelevant, but I wanted to mention that the times that I did eat here,... the food was always good. The service was decent, and because Sal was our friend, he made it fun with a cool sing-alongatmosphere and fun personable chats. Obviously it sucks that he's no longer with us as of August last year, but I wanted toleave a review mentioning how he was a cool guy, with a good restaurant, when I ate there some years back. We were craving some pizza while on vacation. We found THE PIZZA! Located a few miles from the place we were staying, and... settled in a very nice, cozy shopping center. We sat outside in the covered patio. The weather was bad, but the enclosure madeit comfortable. The inside of the place was super pizzaria looking. Service was great. The patio is a bit tight but we made itall work. The pizza was delicious. Thin and tasty. The crust was the right amount of chew. I just had an hour-old left overpiece and it was everything you want in left over pizza action. Very impressed and will return next time I visit "SSI" as I haveheard the cool kids say. Read more

Sal's used to be one of our "must haves" when visiting from Jax, but lately have been very disappointing. Takes forever to get... someone on the phone to place a to-go order and the food is hit or miss. The nail in the coffin for me was the chicken wings,which I ordered hot (spicy). I open the box and I have very dry, very naked wings. Not a dab of sauce or seasoning to befound. No salt, no pepper, nothing. I tried to muscle through it but ended up chucking them in the trash. Shame on you Sal's. My dog eats better. Read more

Sal?s Pizzeria is always a favorite stop while visiting St. Simons Island. When we arrived the wait time was less than thirty... minutes and that was on a busy Sunday evening and the service was excellent. Sal?s is definitely a landmark in this area and Ihighly recommend it. Very simple Italian food and very good. The atmosphere is great as well. Read more
