I drink coffee, not specialty drinks. Sugar Beans, consistently, has the best coffee in the St. Louis area. At other coffee... shops I add sugar to my medium cup of coffee to improve taste, but not here. The wife/husband owner presence is muchappreciated! Read more

Super cute coffee shop with a big coffee menu! They have pumpkin spice year round. I went with a small group and everyone liked... their drinks. We were celebrating a friend's engagement and they gave us some treats on the house! We will definitely be back. Read more

Ordered iced ?Hold Your Horses? and loved the mocha and different blends of chocolate. There are board games, community flyers,... and the capacity to host an event. I noticed several exotic pastries I have never eaten before, so I?m excited to pass back byand sample again. Fast service, waited 3 minutes while the beverage was mixed. Read more

First time in seconds ago...I asked if they had any Frozen Coffees. The young man working said any can be iced. I said I saw... that but I wanted to know if they offered something like a Blended or Frappe. He then slid me a menu. I ordered something calleda Hankerin or something like that....supposed to be dark chocolate, salted caramel, espresso, mini chocolate chips. He handed mea drink that definitely did not look to have any dark chocolate nor did not have any chocolate chips. I called him back &questioned my order . He told me it did have dark chocolate. I've never seen dark chocolate be white but...ok. I asked about thechocolate chips. No apology just "oh, we are out of those". I walked out figuring this is not what I ordered.....one sip has methinking I have ordered a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino from Starbucks. I taste no dark chocolate as I'm sure there is none it, Itaste no coffee & instead I wasted $7+ with tax on a drink that I'm going to throw away because I wanted coffee. Read more

So, I am breezing through STL on my way back to Chattanooga and I look up a local coffee shop. I skip St. Louis BreadCo and... Starbucks and settle on Sugar Beans Coffee House. It's in a strip mall. I look through the windows and I'm not impressed. Imutter, "This may not work" to myself. I walk through the door. No guests. I look at the checkout counter. A lady was there, waiting for me to look in her direction and politely says "Good morning." It takes so little to make a huge difference. She wasat the checkout counter. Ready and patiently waiting to take my order. She just stood there and politely waited. I wasn't abother to her. I was HER customer. I was so distracted by her calm, patient, courteous demeanor that I didn't even payattention to the price of the coffee. I don't know this lady's name but she was just perfect polite and courteous. But wait, there's more. I found a seat and then started to look around. Very nicely decorated for Fall with a little.pumpkin on eachtable and some other harvest items that represent Autumn. And the music was subtle and calm in the back ground. Even better:the two employees are not banging around make ten tons of noise. When they talk to each other, it's low and subtle and notyelling across at each other. In short: I highly recommend this very nice hole in the wall. Read more
