We had a great experience at Gahan House this week. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting with muted lighting and... our server Charlotte was friendly and efficient! My wife and I had PEI Mussels as an appetizer, fresh and flavorful. I had theCoconut Chicken Curry with half rice, half fries. It was delicious, especially the curry sauce which was amazing. My wide hadthe Beef Melt which was piled high with beef. She said it was great as well. We shared a lemon bar with our coffee for dessertwhich was good. All in all a 5/5 worthy dining experience. What an amazing atmosphere!! Our group of 11 was perfectly seated at the tables near the door and we felt at ease to be louder... than in the actual restaurant. We were celebrating 3 birthdays and had drinks. Selection of drinks was great, the variety wasgreatly appreciated by many. Service was absolutely PHENOMENAL and helpful. Not the best service when we went. We sat on the harbour side patio to take advantage of the late day sun. Service was slow even... though the patio was quiet. When our food arrived we didn?t get any side plates or cutlery. We had to ask for it and we alsoasked for salt, pepper and vinegar. We waited 5-7 minutes to season our meals and ended up having to go inside to get it. Beerselection is great and food is good. I would not recommend sitting on the patio at the back if you don?t want to be missed orforgotten. Read more
Excellent quality for the price. We took the beef melt and the haddock tacos and both were very tasty. The kids had the fish and... chips and they liked it. The home made tartare sauce is very good. Staff is very friendly. I don't like beer but they seem tohave good products. Read more

Had beef brisket mac and cheese for takeout. Large portion for takeout and lots of meat. Noodles softer than I would like, but... it is probably due to walking back to the hotel with it and not eating it right away. Read more
This restaurant has great food and good service from the staff. Food can be a bit pricey, but it's worth it. It's a great... location for gatherings or family meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially to anyone visiting town. Have neverbeen disappointed here. Read more
