Oh my!! 1st time here..Cathy treated me and my girlfriend visitor from out of town like we were at her country home on church... Sunday for fried chicken! Welcome breath of fresh air. Loved this little cute restaurant! We stopped in for Lunch and oh my goodness it was So good... We had so much on our plate we... couldn't eat it all. And their rolls were Amazing! I don't know what they used if they were homemade or not but they were sogood I bought some extra to take home with us! They were delicious. And all of the ladies working were Super nice! They treatedus like we were from their little town. It was a Great place. We will definitely be back if we are ever back up that way. Read more
Their sides (corn and onion rights) were ok, but their Country Pot Roast was delicious.

Off the beaten path, followed sign from I-44 for advertised home cooked meal. Ordered the hotrod burger that came with a bag... of potato chips so I ordered an extra side of coleslaw. The burger was raw in the middle so I just ate the edges and asked fora box. Server was friendly but really didn't know a lot about the restaurant when questioned about the menu. Service was 4.5 for sure. Food was much closer to 3.8-4, so I chose 4 stars here. Our waitress was super sweet, though a bit... distracted and not insanely attentive. My kiddo opted for the buffet. I looked it over and knew I?d likely overeat, but nothinglooked so amazing that I wanted to waste the calories. My 3-egg omelet was essentially scrambled eggs with sausage and cheeseinside. Tasted fine, though definitely not an omelet. My wife?s pot roast was very tender, but she said the gravy tasted like itwas out of a can. Her baked potato was yummy, she said. I love little, local places like this. My preference when I travelanywhere. I?d definitely return and just try something else. Read more
Best place I've ever been to for breakfast and dinner. Hospitality was great, got to meet the owner while having dinner, and... enjoy a great conversation from the locals during breakfast. The decor is all classic car automotive style. Food isdelicious. Best place to go for some baked fish and some amazing cheese cake! Read more
Did it take me forever to get my check? Yes. Were they short on meatloaf and ran out of chocolate pie, thus being an... inconvenience to my dining experience? Yes. But I'm from way up in Northern Missouri and THIS was HANDS DOWN the freshest, "homecooked" place I've EVER eaten. Our waitress was a young girl and with all the slamming traffic they got she sure hauled tail andtried her best. I was a tourist and the whole staff made me feel like family. Amazing food at a great price! Their rolls arehomemade and AMAZING!! I will be back again! All of the tiny nuances that someone could complain about are trivial, as in thingsthe staff can't help.
