I came to this establishment for an event for a local company and I tried 7 out of 14 of their beers on tap and they were... absolutely dreadful to say the least. Whether it was a cider, red ale, porter, or IPA, I tried most of them (including acucumber beer that tasted like a cleaning agent) yet I just couldn't stomach any of them (I've been a beer connoisseur for quitea few years). I wanted to give a great review but I really was disappointed especially with this place being a "brewery". Ican't see how this place survives. This place could be great If they put as much effort into their service and consistency as they do their swag. ???? Beer... selection is okay, service is bare minimum don't expect much, hours are inconsistent. Walked in at 8:20 to have dinner was toldThey had a limited menu since they close in 40 minutes. This is a cute spot worth a visit if you're in the area. It's a bit too much to recommend it as a main destination however. We... found the food and some of the drink to be pricey, but you do get to experience a whimsical atmosphere and the service wasoutstanding. There are a couple surprises on the menu, I can recommend the Balsamic Pork Sliders and my wife loved the Poutine.A tip from her is to switch out the fries for Sweet Potato Tots, the sweet with the savory knocked her socks off. My pro tip isto get the Butter Beer, yes that Butter Beer. It's not a Beer, it's a soda and you can get it Loaded (Alcohol) or Regular. Don'tbother with Loaded. It's over twice as much money, served in a half glass, and the the Butterscotch Snapps/Old Grand Dad Whiskeydon't really bring anything special to the party. We sat outside our first time here and it was pretty ok so we decided to try them again. We sat inside this time. We were... disappointed to find it dirty and disorganized. We got to see how they prepared our food? this didn?t impress us. My wife?ssliders came out with massive finger prints on the buns. Just a turn off. We didn?t eat even half of our meals and nobody everchecked to see if we liked our food. It should have been obvious something was wrong when my wife didn?t even eat any of hersliders and we didn?t ask for a box. I would have preferred to handle it then and not leave a poor review but I was impatient. We left irritated and disappointed. On the positive side the waiter was nice and the beer was tasty. Fantastic. The beer selections were wide and varied. I wasn't sure which wine to pick, so the guy taking orders at the counter... called the owner to ask what kind of wine would match my request and her recommendation was fantastic. We had the pork slidersand bratwurst with sauerkraut. So, so good. I would come back here again. Read more
Mission Accomplished!!! I am in Portland Oregon the next 3 weeks for business. I am from Virginia and My wife and I have been... watching Jaron and Maggie on TikTok for the past 6 months and laughing hysterically about the skits. I happen to look up thebrewery and found out I was in the area so off I went for a drive hoping to meet one of them. Maggie was there working byherself during the Halloween festival they had going on. Maggie was so nice and took the time to spend a few minutes letting meknow about the city and some of the movie history as well as hand me a few stickers that will go on my car. I was verygreateful for the info and few minutes talking. It made my trip. Loved the Peach wheat beer as well. I will def try and makeone more trip before I leave and do a little more "touristy" stuff. Thanks for the memory!!!! Read more
