We're staying on St. Helena Island and rode by this place everyday. The parking lot is always full so we decided to stop for... dinner. I ordered crab stuffed flounder with roasted potatoes and my husband got 1/2 dz baked oysters. The waiter was great, theoutside deck was great, the food, not so much. First let me say, I'm from Apalachicola, Florida so I know what good seafood is.My favorite seafood has always been stuffed flounder so that's what I ordered. What I got was not what I expected. The filet wasso small and thin that it was stuck to the plate when it was baked so I could only eat 1/2 of it. The oysters were the same, about the size of a nickel (not a joke). We also ordered fried pickle chips. I was expecting DILL pickle chips but, they werebread & butter chips, yuck. I gave them two stars because the crab stuffing and potatoes were good. Read more

WOW in every possible ways!! First, the staffs are the classic southern friendly, very knowledgeable in their menu and they are... INCREDIBLY prompt and fast! Second, this is a wonderful environment to be in. For a busy place, this very clean, comfortablewith a southern comfort charm. Everything is well run, and you can tell this is run by a staff who truly care. Mostimportantly, the food is gourmet level good!! It is almost perfect and they are certainly well above what they are priced at!The presentation is appetizing! Portion size is JUST perfect (the pictures doesn?t do it justice cause I keep eating instead oftaking a photo). None of the fried food are greasy. The shrimps are huge! The burger is put together with just the right juices. And the seasoning on the fries are POPING! I don?t have enough space here to tell you how great the food is! But I planned onmaking regular visit, and that should be saying a lot! Read more

We came in at 3 after leaving Penn Center. Even though we were told that the kitchen was set to close at 3:15, they accommodated... our party of 6. The chef(s) did not disappoint! Our food was hot, fresh, and well-seasoned. Our server was hospitable andattentive. The bourbon chocolate pecan pie was also good, but needed more bourbon and more filling. Read more

Vacationing on Fripp Island is what brought us here for lunch. Service was good and friendly. We had three children with us,... ages 11 months, 3 years and 10 years old and felt welcome. We ordered the frog legs (pictured) and mussels. Both were yummy. Ihad the fried oysters for lunch and they were unfortunately cooked too long and very chewy. Everything else that was ordered waslovely. I'd have given 5 stars if the oysters were good. The menu is a bit pricey also. Over all, we enjoyed our first visit. Read more

I've been here twice now and both times the food was delicious! This time I remembered to take pictures! Some Mahi Mahi fish... tacos, the Flounder Basket, and an Ocean Wave Martini! Absolutely delicious all of it! The first ever Cole Slaw I have actuallyliked at a restaurant, and the Tatar Sauce I swear is homemade! This was an amazing second experience! Our server was thesweetest! We went for lunch and it was nice and quiet with a short wait for our food. Read more

I stopped at the Foolish Frog on a whim and I?m so glad I did! I was greeted by a very friendly hostess who gave me some... excellent recommendations on menu choices. My server Veronica, was just as bright and friendly! I ordered a side Greek saladthat was phenomenal -but to be honest I didn?t need it because it was huge as well as delicious and the portion size of my?appetizer? the Cajun Yum Yum Ya Ya was a gracious plenty and the best thing I?ve had since being in Beaufort!! It was deliciousand full of crawfish shrimp and sausage! I will be back! Read more

Haven?t been here in a while even though I live in the area. So pleased I chose this place to stop for lunch yesterday. The... staff were wonderful and helpful. I have the special which was the low country tacos. They were three tacos, one fish, oneshrimp and one oyster on a bed of shredded cabbage and they?re homemade sauce drizzled on top. Had to also try the fried okra. Was a little surprised that the okra came as for pieces of okra and not cut up. Once I tried it it was very good. Didn?t likethe sauce too much that came with it so I asked for some of the sauce they drizzled on the tacos and they happily gave me someand it was awesome! Washed it down with an Edmond?s Oast pale by comparison which was light crispy and the perfect thing forlunch. As for the pictures I forgot to take one before I absolutely had to take a bite out of the taco.???? Read more

The food was fantastic! The staff was friendly and kind. Our waitress Mrs.Kat was great and stayed on top of everything. Mrs.... KayKay the chef, brought out our appetizers out and talked with us. She definitely knows her way around food! We had the GatorBites, which is a must try and the Calamari was great too! For dinner I had the stuffed flounder and my husband had the theseafood platter. The food wasn?t over or under cooked and both plates were great! We will definitely be back! If you?re ever inSt. Helena, and you want some great seafood and some Gator, then look up the Foolish Frog, stop in and say hi to the staff, andenjoy some great food! Read more
