Holy cow. This food is GOOD! We shared the impossible burger with onion rings and a grit bowl with tempeh bacon. The grits were... very creamy and milky in flavor. Lovely texture. The tempeh bacon was good, but don't go thinking it actually tastes like bacon. It's sweet, smoky, and salty in all the right bacony ways but it's still tempeh. The burger was probably the best. Double pattywith cheese and the bun was so perfect. The onion rings were a little greasy and a bit underseasoned. But I'm still giving it 5stars because the consistency and quality of food is always on point every time we come to Beedos. Great stop for breakfast orlunch when en route to or from the beach. Awesome lil restaurant off the beaten path. We stopped in for lunch after spending the morning at the beach. We were immediately... greeted by staff, it was about half full when we arrived. It?s counter ordering. They give you a number and you seat yourself. No fountain service, only bottles and cans. They do have bottomless tea which was spot on for this southern coastal joint.Kiddos landed on chiky tenders and of course we ordered the house burger. (Yum btw) I opted for the shrimp and grits. We werequoted 45 minutes for food. We obliged being in the business ourselves you just have to give grace and be patient. (Our food wasout in 20 minutes) The food was delicious!! Kiddos ate most of their meal which is unusual. Burger was big and tasty.. onlycomplaint it was missing the pickles ???? The shrimp and grits were some of the best I have ever had. Kudos to the kitchen. Itwas a tad warm in the dining area but the entire experience made up for any of that. Bummer the ice cream machine was down(kiddos were upset ????) just means we will have to make another visit! This is a local gem for sure. #supportlocal #eatlocal???????????????? Read more

So glad I found this place. Took a day trip to drive 1-hour over to Beaufort and this place was on the list to visit. The Beedo... Burger was delicious! The menu made it hard to choose from. The macaroni and cheese... Fantastic! I'm definitely gonna have tomake an early trip out to try their breakfast Read more

Cute restaurant. My hamburger on a gluten free bun was quite good as was my daughter's spicy chicken salad (though it wasn't... very spicy). The woman who took our take out order was super pleasant. Read more

This place will blow your mind! The burger is perfection - the pickles and toasted soft bun make the already perfect smash... burger level up! My MIL got the fried shrimp which were also delicious and SIL had the fried chicken sandwich with was equallyas tasty. I will always stick with the burger because it is that good! Go see Tiffany and Megan ???? Read more

This business is located a little ways out from other businesses, which is kinda nice. They have tables & chairs set up to eat... outside, but those little sand flies were everywhere the day we went, so we dined inside. The restaurant is very open - such anice change from tables packed in, giving you no safe distancing. The front door has a suggestion to wear a mask. The staff wasfriendly and helpful & greeted you when you reached the counter after standing in line to place your order. They were protectedbehind plexiglass and wore masks. Not a huge menu, but all I had on my mind was getting my black-eyed peas for New Years! Theycame along with a HUGE fried pork chop (very fresh & delicious). My other side was some greens that I hadn't had before so Iskipped them, lol. The kids ordered burgers. I took a picture of one after asking my grandson to open it, but it was so veryunappetizing-looking that I didn't want to post it. They use some sort of saucey cheese and the meat was paper-thin, withnothing else on it. Very different from my son-in-laws' burger, which was thick and cooked well, he told me. The french frieswere addicting - so yummy! My other grandson ordered chicken tenders & liked them. His order came with a dipping sauce. MYdaughter ordered fried shrimp & shared one with me - very good!! I should have ordered that. I think the plate I ordered was theNew Year's plate. My daughter has been there before for ice cream and highly recommended it. Read more

This is our first visit to St. Helena Island, so of course we need to check out the local places! We went to Beedo?s for... breakfast, and we were not disappointed!!! The biscuits and gravy were delicious, and the bacon was crispy just like it shouldbe (according to my husband and I). Also, the coffee and orange juice were wonderful too!!! When you come in, you place yourorder at the counter and pay, and they bring it out to you! They also have local artwork hanging that are for purchase, sothat?s cool!!! And they have a little bookshelf that you can leave a book or take a book, and I like that! So yes, we did enjoyhaving our breakfast here!!! Read more

Wow! Beedos on St. Helena Island. We were fortunate enough to find an article about this restaurant in one of the local... entertainment papers and after reading about the owner/chef and menu we decided to try it out...we are so glad we did. Weoriginally thought we would both just get the Beedos burger but the young lady mentioned the daily specials which included aPulled Rib sandwich with a white barbecue sauce so we got one of each. These sandwiches were amazing!!and the white barbecuesauce was killer! The texture and flavor of the pulled rib sandwich was the best that I have had. The burger was super flavorfulwith a great toasted bun.You definitely need to carve out time to try this little hidden gem. Read more
