Us New Yorkers love a really good steak. My partner and I were looking for a great steakhouse after a major hike and our map... directed us to this restaurant…I’m so happy it did! First of all, the location is beautiful. Settled on/very near a golfcourse, the view you get is amazing. Wide open spaces with several picturesque mountains in the background…awe inspiring.Second of all, the steaks, my goodness the steaks. I got the filet mignon while my partner ordered the New York Strip. Hestarted with the Oyster Rockefeller and I got to try the pork tips as well as the Lobster bisque. When I say the food wasdelicious, I mean it was top notch, premium, grade A level. The steaks were cooked to perfection and I didn’t need to add anycondiments, the flavor was all there. The service and hospitality was phenomenal as well. We got to speak with the owner of therestaurant who made our experience so much better. Thanks Jeff! I wish I could give Chef Hogs 10 stars! The atmosphere was amazing from the views to the nice piano music playing in the... background, But the best is for last. The food is amazing. I had salmon ( the absolute best I have ever eaten ) my daughter hadthe baseball cut steak, fresh veggie's , asparagus to die for, a dinner salad that is a meal in itself then top all of that offwith Bananas Foster for desert. If you have not given this beautiful restaurant a try, I highly recommend that you do ! Read more

The best kept secret in St. George! We had a bite after golf yesterday and thought it was time to leave a review. Tucked into... the Sunriver Golf Club off the Southern Parkway, Chef Hog's is sure to delight. Boasting dramatic golf course and mountainviews, the setting is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My wife and I have been several times and have never beendisappointed. The wait staff is top notch. Super friendly. For lunch, the burger, salads or Cuban sandwich can't be beat and wethink the clam chowder is the best we've ever had. The dinner menu is extensive and offers something for everyone including ofcourse, oyster lovers! Thursday thru Saturday Dave is on the piano and guitar, offering his take on your favorite hit songs. Hisfine playing, sense of humor, and pleasing voice add to the convivial, relaxed atmosphere - as does the soft, indirect lighting.Not to be missed! WAIT! We have been holding a 4 day golf event annually for several years always stopping in at the turn to grab a quick bite. A couple... of years ago we decided that it would be good to include daily breakfast into our event. Chef Hog was so accommodating. And thefood was amazing. Great food! Nice ambience. Beautiful view of the golf course. The menu selection is fabulous... burgers, sandwiches, tacos,... salads, gyros and much more. You'll also find a great list of starter items, we tried the mushrooms and the coconut shrimp. Forlunch we had the brisket sandwich, salmon salad, lamb gyro and shrimp tacos.... Yeah, they deserve 5 stars. I had the Asian salad, and it was great. I love those crunchy noodles. My wife ordered the New York... steak, and she won. I tried a few bites... very tender steak. We ordered 3 fresh oysters, and that's not my favorite, but it wasfun to try them. Our server was excellent. Very friendly. Read more

I was incredibly impressed with the atmosphere here. It’s very nice and enjoys an updated decor. I ordered the blackened... salmon Caesar salad. The salmon was excellent. The salad was fresh and crisp. Instead of the Caesar dressing, I opted forbalsamic vinaigrette. I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who needs a good lunch but is also watching their calories. Read more
