Food was great. Service was racist and hateful. Let me explain: I ate at the bar. My server, who, granted, was very busy, took... my order... and nothing else. When the food came, he pushed it to me. No "does everything look right? Can I get you anything?" Ieven had to ask another server for my beer. Another. Server. Meanwhile, my server - the one who I said was very busy- washaving in-depth conversations with every single couple and group at the bar. He was demonstrating friendliness andhospitality... to everyone else. Except the stranger. Me. You don't need an explanation for that. It's very clear what thatwas. I finished my meal. No, "how was it? Can I get you anything else?" When the bill finally came-I had to ask for it fromanother server-I paid my server. I asked him, no, thank you, come again? Not even THAT??? He shook his head and LAUGHED AT ME. Irepeat. The server LAUGHED. AT. ME. LAUGHED. AT. HIS. GUEST. Did I feel welcome at this place? Did I feel safe? Did I feelangry stares? I don't need to tell you the difference in ethnicity between myself and the server. I was not welcome here. Theydidn't want to serve me. As an East Coast traveler, I am very aware of places that are not welcoming of strangers. Un-Christianplaces. St. Clairesville is not the place I'd like to stay again. Yes, I have taken it very personally. Imagine the treatmentyour family would get. If you're hard up for the food, it might be worth the intolerance demonstrated by the hateful staff. Iwill not even stop for gas in this Godforsaken place. Take my warning. Read more
Great food, the porkchop dinner was a lot of food! I suggest splitting it. 2 large pork chops, large bowl of the best Brussel... sprouts, bread and a sweet potato! Read more
My steak was cooked perfectly (medium), however my husband ordered medium rare and his was definitely closer to medium well, and... my son ordered medium well and his was pretty much jerky. They did send their steaks back and had new ones brought to them whichwere then cooked correctly. However, this caused me to be finished eating much sooner than them so it was just awkward. Ourserver was very polite and attentive. About half way through my meal, a couple with a large, long haired service dog were seatedright behind us. It's raining out and the dog was stopped by our table while it's humans were being seated and it shook the rainfrom its fur. Since it was so close to our table I watched dander and wet dog fur water fly towards my plate. This grossed meout and I could no longer eat the rest of my food. I am a pet owner and have nothing against dogs. However, when eating out at apricey restaurant I don't want my food that is to go into my body covered in a random dogs dander as I'm allergic and it's justgross. I don't let my own dogs shake off into my dinner plate at home. If restaurants allow service animals inside theestablishment they should have their own section, like smokers did in the past. We probably won't be back to this Longhorn. Ifour server had been bad I would have only given one star. Luckily she was great. Read more
