Nice open spaced eating area off the main st. Nice selection of food entrees and sides. Lobster rolls were plentiful, with nice... chunks of lobster @$26. Plus a side salad was very tasty with good selection of veggies. Kettle chips topped off this nicelunch! The location and service was optimum! Read more
Amazing seafood chowder and the blueberry cider is delicious. The vegetarian burger was a favourite among our group as was the... chowder. They are extremely pet friendly, they bring a bowl of water for your pet and even give them treats. The only thing tonote is that they say they are open until 11 however they stop serving food at 9:30 and only serve drinks after that. Read more
We loved the atmosphere of this place! We went for lunch and weren't disappointed. My chicken thigh sandwich with roasted... peppers and chimichurri sauce was delicious and my husband said his chowder was full of meat and quite worth the price. Thefunny thing about St Andrew's is that even though it is a tourist town, almost every restaurant closes their kitchen at 8pm.After our evening whale watching excursion, we went back to Char and Chowder as it's the only place serving food at this time(food is served until 9:30 and the bar closes at 11). Unfortunately they were out of some of their menu items by the time wearrived but we really enjoyed Charlie's Burger, and the grilled pound cake was a unique treat. We were told the roof over thepatio was new for this year and thank goodness, because it started raining while we were there. I highly recommend thisrestaurant! Read more

Yummy lobster roll with not too much sauce. Also tried their Charlie Burger and kids had hot dogs. Their sangria is nice too.... There was an order mixup so one of us got order later. Otherwise cute outdoor sitting under a wooden barn. Read more
Strongly recommended!!! Friendly staff, ample seating & delicious food! We had the Lobster Roll, Charlie?s Burger & Seafood... Chowder accompanied by Pumphouse?s Crafty Radler & Gahan?s Blueberry Ale. It was all delicious! The chowder has a generousamount of seafood. The burger was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned.
