I ate here today for the first time and it was delicious. The waitress was friendly, welcoming, and the food was fast, hot, and... homemade. The restaurant was clean and affordable. I will definitely go back!! Read more
The service! To say it was excellent is an understatement. Even if the food was just ok, the service would still have brought it... up to 5 stars. It just so happens the food was great too! It looked like everyone else was having the same experience. From whatI can tell, the food is all made to order. I ordered something that would have been made in a batch at my house. I had an itemremoved from it that would not have been able to have been pulled out if. Read more
My favorite type of restaurants are those with country cooking, mommaw kind of menus. So this restaurant starts off on the right... foot immediately with me. If you're looking for something along the lines of "made from scratch", you'll find it here. I hadtheir pork chops with mashed potatoes and corn. The pork chops aren't greasy which I appreciate and though there is some fat(for those that like that), it's all collected along one side of your chops, so it's easy to discard (if the fats aren't foryou). So I'll say unless you like your pork chops greasy, they're a win for anyone who enjoys them. They are a little on thethin side, but you get 2 to an order, so it's a good portion, plus, you won't strain yourself to cut them up. The sides Iordered were great and their biscuits are more than likely made from scratch. Which reminds me of their desserts. I tried aslice of the chocolate cream pie. I'm not sure if their desserts are made from scratch, but I wouldn't be surprised to find thatout, really good. I noticed most of the patrons I saw around me were older folks. In fact, this place was referred to me by anolder woman I work with who told me she ate there constantly. This, to me, speaks volumes. You know when a restaurant is popularwith an older crowd it must have value, by a certain age, we've tired out other places and we know what's good, lol. Funny, theday the woman that recommended this place to me and told me that she ate there constantly, I went there and tried it for lunch.Completely unplanned, I was waiting in line to pay my tab and leave and I heard someone ask, "What did ya think?". Haha Mycoworker had snuck in without my noticing and was seated behind a wall I couldn't see her from. I told her she wasn't wrong torecommended Dwight's to me. I told her I loved the pork chops I'd ordered. She told me she hadn't tried them before, but mainlybecause once she had tried the baked steak and gravy, she couldn't make herself order anything differ Read more
Fine place for breakfast. Nice portion, good coffee. The price point was just half a notch higher than I expected, but I'm also... a bit thrifty (cheap). Read more
