When we gather as an extended family-- many of us traveling from out of state-- this is the place. The service is great. The... menu is varied. And the food is tasty. Hadn't been to El Charro for quite a while so thought we'd try. Didn't have to wait for a table and we're immediately brought... chips and two different salsa and a cup of bean dip, all good flavor. Service was good but neither of us were very impressedwith the food. Read more
Came here with my family, and I ordered the shredded beef chimichanga burrito enchiladas style. The restaurant wasn't that busy... at that hour, and the service was really great and fast. Read more
The service here was fantastic, and I really loved the authenticity of the carne asada street tacos I ordered. The only reason... I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think they need to have more of a variety of sauces available for theircustomers - their house salsas were ok, but none of them were spicy enough for us, and I was really craving some Chalula orValentina on those tacos. El Charro used to be our go to place with every trip to Safford. The last 3 times we've been it just has not been the same.... Service was so incredibly slow, food was just ok. Salsa was very plain, no flavor. The burrito on my combination plate wasalmost smaller than my enchilada. My son's beans looked like they had been in the warmer for way too long, dried & gross. Had toask for napkins & silverware. Drinks were automatically brought in to go cups, as is they were out of clean dishes. Workerscarrying around the plastic flatware holder around the restaurant passing out silverware. The atmosphere was definitely not thesame as it used to be. You could feel how much the restaurant & service has gone downhill. You could sense that the pride ofownership is definitely not there anymore. Unfortunately will probably be taking our business elsewhere from now on. Read more
Taste buds young again..... like 1977 ... generous chips and salsas served soon as seated. CHIMACHONGA & CHILI RELLENO with lots... oh refried beans, rice, sour cream, and guacamole so darn beautifully prepared and served as ordered fresh and hot. Read more
I had a great experience as always! Richie and Amber provided excellent service! The bean dip is our favorite while we wait... for our food! I ordered the Green Chile little daddy and it's delicios and HUGE and my hubby ordered the Red Chile shredded beefenchilada meal and he really enjoyed it. Read more
