The menu selection which we viewed before heading to Marker 39 was interesting and we were excited to try the restaurant?s... version of a paella. The restaurant was an pleasant place to be; the restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating andthe decor was lovely. I ordered myself a glass of wine. I enjoyed the wine and the food was ready quickly. Unfortunately whereit went wrong and why I have to drop my rating to three stars: The paella was not even enough food for one person, unless thatperson had eaten something else before getting the paella. It was $32 dollars, which is $3 more than what is displayed on theirmenu online, and we had decided to only order the paella and see how we felt about ordering more food. My spouse did not carefor the flavor combination of their paella, while I enjoyed it but was disappointed at how little food we were given. Thereseemed to be little more than a quarter cup of rice and then a broth with a variety of seafood and chicken (we asked for nochorizo), and two plaintain chips. The variety of seafood included was excellent in my opinion but we just needed more food,especially for the price and with the notion that this is labeled as the restaurant?s version of a paella. We decided to takethe check and go elsewhere to eat as we were worried that we would order another meal and still end up hungry. Read more
Really cute place in safety harbor! We had a wonderful server, Jenna, who was an absolute delight on Friday night. Highly... recommend the Nemo roll appetizer or the calamari, both very good. Really enjoyed the jerk chicken as well! We will beback. One note - it is a SMALL place so reservations are recommended! We didn't have them this time but walked in right as theyopened and got seated, but it filled up very quickly! Read more
A very cute, if not very tiny restaurant. We went on a rainy evening so all the outdoor seating was closed. I would describe it... as casual but classy dining. Everything I ordered off the menu was quite delicious but be aware the portion sizes are much likethe establishment itself (smallish). The staff was awesome super accommodating. They quickly amended a mistake with one dish.Recommend, but might hard if you have poor hearing as the small and packed place made it difficult to have conversation. Read more
Probably the best food we had here! Everything was exceptional. Jenna (or maybe her name was Jemma?) was extremely attentive... and helpful. She explained that the chef owner selects all the ingredients fresh personally and it showed that he hasexcellent taste. The sauces and selections were inventive and delicious, even in the takes on old classics. The sangria wasone of the most delicious I've ever had. And don't forget to save room for dessert! Just discovered this place n I cannot wait to be back. They do brunch only on Sundays n dinners during the week! I had the... plantain crab cake - very inique n amazing flavor, in the top 5 all time crab cakes I've had! Everything was made fromscratch! I enjoyed the place and would definitely return. It's almost everything I'd want in a restaurant. I felt either the meal... prices were a little too high or the prices were slightly too high because on this particular visit I don't think the meal livedup to the price. I'll try again though because sometimes that happens. I think you'll like it regardless so I'd give it a tryif you haven't been here before.
