i LOVE this place. The WHIRED Wine Bar v is hands down one of the best things I've eaten in 2016, and i eat a lot. It is a... delicious plate of gooey goodness - spinach, cream, cheese, runny egg yolk, truffle... i wipe the plate clean with the breadevery time. Read more
Great place with friendly staff and awesome hospitality. Stopped by outside to take a few pictures for an engagement photoshoot... and was wholesomely invited inside to take more pictures. The inside felt cool and modern. I?ll definitely have to stop by againfor a drink. Read more
Great place to grab a late-afternoon drink or chill before a Golden One Center event, since it's pretty much right in front of... it. Wine is kinda pricy, but you HAVE to try a particular beer they carry, especially if you're a chocolately stout person. It'scalled "Founder's Breakfast Stout" and it's brewed with coffee!!! I give this place two stars only because of the wine and beer selection, otherwise it would be one star. The service was awkward... and the food was subpar at best. The server and owner (?) knew nothing about food or the ingredients they were serving, and theyclearly opt for the cheapest ingredients possible. For the type of place they're trying to be and the prices, it was appallingto observe Kraft BBQ sauce in the kitchen and be served pre-sliced Columbus salame on a $15 charcuterie plate. They were baffledby the question of what kind of Brie they were serving, as if it never occurred to them to know. The sandwich portions werelaughable, and the turkey was Oscar Meyer quality - luckily the happy hour price made up for it. Everything here was obviouslymanufactured and vendor ready, nothing prepared in house. I will not be returning unless I just need a glass of wine and nofood. Read more
No reviews, let me be the first! We walked in by chance during one of the many downtown Sacramento events. When we got there... it was quiet and slow duebto thie time of day; perfect for what we were looking for at the time. We noticed a young woman behindthe bar who was pleasantly conversing with the customers at the bar. We got a menu and orderd a couple glasses of wine based onthe description from the menu. We were not pleased with the way they tasted, certainly not for out palettes. When she came overand asked us how we were liking our wine, we answered honestly. She asked us about our personal preferences and recommendedwines vased on what we said. Wheb the new wine came out, needless to say, it was SPOT on! She nailed it! My wife and i gotexactly the taste we wanted and were not charged for the first glass of wine we did not enjoy at all. Score, great service andgreat wine. We sat there and had a couple more glasses each of the wines that matchrd our tastes perfectly. While drinking ourwine, we were shocked to find out that this younger - grungy in a good way - wine-tender was actually a Somaleaire! And she wasstudying for her Master Somaleaire test (goid luck with that test from what ive heard its one of the hardest tests in the worldto pass - hope she passes!). She was fantastic! Super nice woth great service. This is a great and must do wine bar for uswinos. Whenever were downtown we try to go but its usually closed or we dont have time, but, we loved it and try to go as oftenas we csn. If you're in Sacramento and want wine, go there! Read more
Super cool place where you can get by the glass, by the bottle or flights. Non-wine drinkers can also find choice of beer. Food... available as well, we got a charcuterie and cheese plater that went well with the wine flight! Definitely recommend Read more
